Clash Poll: Is AG Jeff Sessions A ‘Weak’ Leader And Should Trump Fire Him?

Gee, do you think maybe Trump is displeased with his performance so far? What gave it away?

Trump’s morning tweets hit Sessions hard again today, calling out his AG for things that are bothering him. Among them:

Nope, he doesn’t seem impressed at all.

Scaramucci, on the other hand was interviewed by Hugh Hewitt this morning and asked about this very issue.

HH: Let’s get to the hard stuff, all right?
AS: …anyway, that’s the collaboration element of what we have to do here. Stop the leaks.
HH: The President’s been tweeting this morning. I’m sure you’re aware of that.
AS: Yes. I am aware of it.
HH: Why not just fire Jeff Sessions?
AS: Well, listen, I mean you know, I think the President has a certain style, a certain skill set. He’s obviously frustrated. I said yesterday, I think, to Sarah Murray, maybe the two of them could get together. My guess is the President doesn’t want to do that. And so I think it’s going to, I think him and Jeff, or sorry, Attorney General Sessions, need to work this thing out.
HH: It’s clear the President wants him gone, isn’t it, Anthony?
AS: I have enormous amount, I have an enormous amount of respect for the Attorney General, but I do know the President pretty well. And if there’s this level of tension in the relationship, that that’s public, you’re probably right. But I don’t want to speak for the President on that, because he’s a cabinet official. And I sort of think that has to be between the president of the United States and the cabinet official.
HH: But it can’t be good. The reason I brought up Harvard Law School at the beginning, you know the law.
AS: Yeah.
HH: You know this very well. It cannot be good when the chief law enforcement officer and the president of the United States are not getting along publicly.

What it seems like at the moment is, Trump wants Sessions gone. But Sessions isn’t easily pressured to do something. So if there is a termination, it may have to be deliberate.

‘Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!’
Trump did not give any context for his tweet on Ukraine, simply mentioning Hannity.
The Fox News host spoke of a months old Politico article on ‘Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire’ earlier this month.
Politico reported earlier this year that the Ukrainian government preferred Clinton over Trump in the presidential election and was eager to help a Ukrainian-American consultant to the DNC who was reportedly looking for information on former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, who had already come under scrutiny for his own ties to a pro-Moscow Ukrainian political party.
Hannity called this a direct parallel to the current investigation into the Trump administration’s dealings with Russia.
He asked his viewers to consider ‘which was worse’, saying: ‘Now that you have evidence from both sides, you have to decide for yourself.’ –DailyMail

Nobody on our side of the aisle questions his integrity, or his character.

But for Trump, if you’re not producing results, you’re in the doghouse pretty quickly.

On the up side, if it turns out they ARE looking for credible replacements, why not Jason Chaffetz?

Chaffetz has already demonstrated that he knows what he’s doing, he won’t tolerate stonewalling or Bullsh-t, and he can’t be accused of being a Trump Flunkie.

He was even publicly critical of Sessions failure to produce paperwork that had been subpoenaed by Congress. That was even part of why he resigned… which goes to his integrity.

Share if you think Jeff Sessions will probably be done sooner, rather than later.
