Tensions over the protests are heating up. But should it have escalated to this?
Now even fans in their seats are kneeling for the anthem.
Other fans are being provoked by the insult.
And, a girl at a Lakers game dumped her drink over the fans who ‘took a knee’.
It escalated quickly, as you might expect.
Social media lit up. It ‘named them and shamed them’.
Social media defamed them as ‘racists’.
Nothing about race was said. Profanities were exchanged, but she made her objections pretty clear. It was kneeling during the anthem that offended her.
We don’t know why her reaction was so strong. And neither do her critics. She could have a folded flag on her mantlepiece at home for all we know. But she was mad.
Of course, they weren’t wearing the BlackBlock uniform that makes every expression of outrage ‘ok’, so they never got a free pass for dumping a drink on someone.
It would be nice to see comparable outrage when simple protesters get hit with mace or bear spray at a protest, wouldn’t it?
So now total strangers are pressuring the school these girls attend to ‘do something’.
Do something? For dumping a drink on someone when they get offended? Doesn’t that sort of thing happen in the bar all the time?
Do something? On what authority? Are Lakers games school-sanctioned events now?
But there’s a reason these race-baiting bullies keep using the bullying tactics.
They might be as dopey as Lebron.
But they work.
What was the reaction from the school? Here it is:
On Wednesday, October 4, 2017, an incident occurred at a pre-season NBA basketball game at the Ontario Citizens Business Bank Arena. While this was not an event affiliated with California Baptist University, two current CBU students were involved.
On Thursday morning, October 5, 2017, CBU learned of this incident and initiated an investigation and plans to take appropriate action. CBU does not condone or support the behavior depicted in the recording of the incident.
CBU takes this matter very seriously and is cooperating with law enforcement and arena management.
Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
