Dear NFL Dolts: Guess Which Sport Is NOW The ‘Least Liked Sport’ In America?

Hey NFL… was it all ‘worth it’?

Remember back when the NFL was — hands down — the biggest game in town?

It suddenly seems so long ago, doesn’t it? But it wasn’t, really.

Remember back when it was the place where we could all put our politics aside, and gather around the things that unite a city, and better yet — a country?

Well, THAT was fun while it lasted…

Back in August, we were looking forward to another good run. It was a clean slate. Lineups had been shuffled, coaches replaced. Every team could promise themselves, and their fans, that ‘this year’ was ‘their’ year.

Football was right up there with Major-League Baseball in favorability ratings, and well ahead of college football, college basketball, and the NBA.

And then things got political.

In favorability ratings among those groups NOW… Pro football comes dead last.

And in the key demographic — men 35-54? They got hammered.

Just 42 percent of males aged 34-54 had a favorable view of the NFL in September, a 31-point drop from the 73 percent reported in the same poll in August.

The NFL took a hit in ‘every category’, with no demographic unaffected.

Fans ‘of all races’ are staying away, too.

Let’s hope those Soros Dollars were worth the price they had to pay.

Digging into those numbers a little more:

“Among males, NFL favorables fell 23 percent, going from 68 percent to 45 percent. In looking at a more specific audience, males 34-54, NFL favorables fell 31 percent, going from 73 percent to 42 percent. Among this group the NFL has a surprising negative image, as it went from +54 percent in August to -5 percent in September.” —The Hill

And if you prefer to have the data laid out for you, here you go:

August Winston Poll

MLB/61 percent favorable to 13 percent unfavorable.
NFL/57 percent favorable to 23 percent unfavorable.
College football/53 percent favorable to 16 percent unfavorable.
College basketball/48 percent favorable to 17 percent unfavorable.
NBA/47 percent unfavorable to 23 percent unfavorable.

September Winston Poll

MLB/63 percent favorable to 16 percent unfavorable.
College football/51 percent favorable to 21 percent unfavorable.
NBA/46 percent favorable to 28 percent unfavorable.
College basketball/45 percent favorable to 25 percent unfavorable. — Washington Examiner

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.

Share if you’ve given up on NFL until they decide their main priority is sports, NOT politics.
