This NFL Team Is Planning A MASSIVE Protest Because They’re Mad At A METAPHOR!

Uh-oh. Some millionaire athletes have their panties in a twist.
Becuase the NFL owner said something that isn’t Politically correct.

Oh no!

Call the racism police!

You guessed it. The NFL owner used a common phrase, and instantly, everyone lost their minds.

You’d think that people being paid millions to pound grown men into a bloody pulp might be a little less prissy about getting their ‘widdle feewings’ hurt.

Check out Doug’s take on the latest NFL nonsense:

This NFL Team Is Planning A MASSIVE Protest Because They Don't Understand METAPHORS!

The Houston Texans owner, frustrated that the employees were calling the shots and forcing management to comply with their will, bottom line be damned, made a perfectly ordinary statement. One that even a fool could have understood.

One he was since made to apologize for.

One that will provoke a reaction by the players. Who, really, should be more concerned about a reaction by the (former) fans.

So, are you ready for the ‘controversial’ thing he said? You sitting down? Have the smelling salts ready, just in case it shocks your sensibilities?

At a recent meeting among owners, Bob McNair of the Houston Texans said that the NFL “can’t have the inmates running the prison.” Those comments were published by ESPN on Friday morning, and even though McNair quickly apologized, the message upset many players on the team.

McNair held a meeting with players on the team Saturday morning where he reportedly expressed regret.

Apparently, we need a new category, somewhere below fool, for the people who get offended by such turns of phrase.

When grown men were still expected to have an education, that used to be called a ‘metaphor’.

There are three expressions that would say exactly the same thing.

The inmates are running the asylum. (That’s a common idiom.)
The inmates are running the prison.
The monkeys are running the zoo. (Can you IMAGINE the outrage had he used THAT one!)

Of the three, considering the NFL arrest records, they can hardly object to the one he picked.

The NFL has domestic abusers, drunk drivers, and a whole assortment of other infractions. Typically, there’s one arrest a week.

And what can we expect these offended players to do?

The only thing they KNOW HOW to do. They’re gonna protest.

In Texas.

Yeah, that’s SURE to end well.

No wonder these shirts are so popular among the (former) fans.

NFL’s TV ratings are plummeting as more players refuse to stand for the national anthem. It’s hard to believe that a nation that has given these players the opportunity to achieve so much is so easily disrespected. Even worse, consider the men and women who have laid down their lives so that these athletes could live in a relatively safe country and enjoy their fame and fortune.

Hard-working, patriotic Americans don’t want to watch a bunch of whiners play football. They want to watch winners.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!
