The ‘Ultimate Hero Battle’: Humor, Debate, And Unexpected Upsets

Several months ago, a video debuted online — the Ultimate Hero Battle. In this video, various movie and television heroes are forced to fight it out in an arena.

In fact, the heroes involved consist of the following: Spiderman, Maximus (from Gladiator), Trinity (from the Matrix saga), Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Indiana Jones, Gimli (from Lord of the Rings), Princess Leia, Rorschach, Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, William Wallace (from Braveheart), Mad Max, Lara Croft, Luke Skywalker, Mystique, Cyclops, Beast, Jean Grey, Gandalf, Eowyn, Aragorn, Legolas, Blade, Deadpool, the Bride (from the Kill Bill saga), Leeloo (from the Fifth Element), Hartigan (from Sin City), Leonidas (from 300), Harry Potter, Snake Plissken (from Escape from New York), Nick Fury, Inigo Montoya, Jack Sparrow, James Bond (the Sean Connery version), Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer (from 24), Ethan Hunt (from Mission: Impossible), John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Wolverine, Black Panther, Batman, John McClane (from the Die Hard saga), Neo (from the Matrix saga), Quicksilver, Doctor Strange, the Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, the Incredible Hulk, Thing, Human Torch, Iceman, John Snow (from Game of Thrones), Katniss Everdeen, Hawkeye, Neytiri (from Avatar), Jay and Kay (from the Men in Black saga), Drax, Gamora, Rocket, Star Lord, Groot, Green Lantern, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Liam Neeson, Chuck Norris, Jason Statham, Steven Seagal, Sylvester Stallone, Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. the Rock), Vision, Storm, Han Solo, Rick Deckard (from Blade Runner), Jack Ryan, James Marshall (from Air Force One), Rey (from Star Wars Episode VII: the Force Awakens), Judge Dredd, Robocop, the Terminator, Sarah Connor, Bilbo Biggins, Drogon, Daenerys, Ellen Ripley (from Aliens), Ghost Rider, Peter Venkman and Abby Yates (from Ghostbusters), Ant-Man, Johnny Rico (from Starship Troopers), Optimus Prime (from Transformers), Dr. Manhattan, Silk Spectre, Clarice Starling (from Silence from the Lambs), Nite Owl, and Professor Xavier.

There were a few upsets in this massive fight, along with some humor. I won’t spoil it for you, but I can tell you it has resulted in some debate among many people as to who should have won. In addition, one can also argue as to who should have been included in the battle (e.g. Chewbacca, Yoda and various other Jedi Knights, Hogwarts students and staff, Supergirl, Robin, Batgirl, the Green Arrow, the Martian Manhunter, various other Autobots from Transformers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Conan the Barbarian, Xena the Warrior Princess, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). In addition, one can also argue as to who should have excluded (e.g. Clarice Starling or James Marshall).

Meanwhile, I predict there will be an Ultimate Villain Battle video sometime in the next few months.
