Did Gene Simmons just get banned for being… Gene Simmons?
Simmons is shall we say… unconventional.
He’s surprisingly engaging and quite intelligent. He has astute commentary on a variety of topics and has been appearing on Fox as a guest for some time.
Viewers like him.
And they like his unconventional ways.
Simmons, 68, was at the Fox News offices in New York City on Wednesday to appear as a guest on Fox News’ Fox & Friends and the Fox Business Network’s Mornings with Maria.
His on-camera appearances, during which he promoted his new book, On Power, seemed to go without a hitch — he delighted meteorologist Janice Dean when helping to read the weather and offered up some words about the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations.
The problems began after his TV appearances, when he had gone up to the 14th floor, where Fox News’ offices are located, a source told The Daily Beast, which was also confirmed to DailyMail.com by a Fox News source.

To the shock of everyone, the rock star then acted like… well, Gene Simmons.
Simmons was on the 14th floor to tape an interview about his book for FoxNews.com’s entertainment team.
Rather than do that, however, he reportedly crashed a staff meeting by shouting, ‘Hey chicks, sue me!’ before pulling open his shirt to expose his chest and belly.
Making matters worse, according to The Daily Beast’s source, Simmons then started tossing off pedophile jokes about Michael Jackson and tapped two Fox News employees on the head with his book, leading to jokes about their relative intelligence based on the sound their heads made.
Simmons also asked a black employee if he was Al Roker, a source told BuzzFeed.
I can’t be the only one finding that mental image funny, can I?
Does that make me a horrible person or someone with an actual sense of humor?
Oddly, Simmons has been banned from appearing on-air. But it went even further. The Daily Beast reports that Simmons is now on a ‘Do Not Admit’ list and his photo was given to security.
Simmons had appeared on Mornings With Maria and was asked about the accusations leveled against Harvey Weinstein.
The shock rocker responded in his typical rocker way.
Earlier in the day, Simmons had told host Mornings with Maria host Maria Bartiromo that, ‘The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out, what I think of Harvey Weinstein.‘
Simmons then went on to say, ‘Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious,’ and added, ‘Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.‘
The former schoolteacher, rock star, reality star, and marketing genius has been making waves for ‘old fashioned’ comments that are being called ‘sexist’.
But… are they sexist or do they just make sense?
Simmons also said that ‘Women have a choice…They can dress in potato sacks, [but] as soon as they pretty themselves up with lipstick, lift and separate them and point them in our general direction, they’re gonna get a response. Guys are jackasses — we will buy them mansions and houses . . . all because of sex.‘
While on TODAY, he noted, ‘What I’m pointing out is your looks, how you dress, how you present yourself is an outreach, an extension of the power you have,‘ adding that ‘Men can’t do that. We have to build skyscrapers and thereby try be more attractive to you.‘
Simmons went on to say, however, that ‘Your actual female self is your power, so you have a choice of implementing that power, that’s up to you,’ while noting that his 25-year-old daughter, Sophie, is ‘nobody’s girlfriend.’

I dunno.
As a woman and an Editor here at ClashDaily, I’m not taking offense.
It sounds to me like he’s sharing some uncomfortable truths that society doesn’t want to hear — men and women are different.
Men do need to exert something called self-restraint when it comes to women, but the feminist movement and society’s general acceptance of overt sexuality, free and easy sex has made women targets.
Personally, I think that Simmons was probably protesting the ultra-P.C. environment that we are all subjected to and using this incident to get press and sell more of his book.
And frankly, I think it’s going to work.
