D@MN! Anti-LGBT Republican Lawmaker BUSTED Shaggin’ A Man In His Office
If you’re going to take a ‘bold stand’ on something, maybe you should make sure it’s something you actually BELIEVE in.
Did this guy learn nothing from the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal?
Note to any would-be moral crusaders — make sure you’ve ‘bought in’ to the cause first before you sign up to be a poster boy for it.
It’s one thing to have a moral failing when you were silent on that particular moral issue.
But it will be an absolute scandal if the thing you get caught doing is the exact thing you are crusading against.
The reason we even have the word ‘hypocrite’ in our language is because it was a Greek word that meant ‘actor’. We use that word because, in his day, Jesus used it to call out the Religious leaders for being fakes.
And now, Wes Goodman is another in a long line of such fakes.
So, who is he and what did he get busted for?
Goodman — a Republican state legislator for Ohio — is married to the assistant director of the March For Life. He wrapped himself in the cause of ‘family values’ and defended traditional marriage. He was branded as the ‘conscience of the conservative movement’.
Well, so much for that.
The right-wing legislator, who pushed “family values”, was reportedly witnessed having sex with a man inside his office who was not employed by the legislator.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, the observer told Ohio House Chief of Staff Mike Dittoe what had happened on Tuesday afternoon. Mr Dittoe responded by telling House Speaker Republican Cliff Rosenberger who in turn met with Mr Goodman.
Unlike certain Senators we could mention, he is neither disputing nor justifying the actions.
He is doing what the situation calls for — resigning.
The lawmaker acknowledged he was stepping down in a statement. “We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life,” he said.
“That has been true for me, and I sincerely regret that my actions and choices have kept me from serving my constituents and our state in a way that reflects the best ideals of public service,” he continued. “For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family, and my friends.”
Let him serve as a reminder to the rest of us — whatever moral cause you fight for — whether it’s Hollywood and feminism, Conservatives and moral fidelity, or any of a host of other causes, make sure that you abide by the standards you set for everyone else.
Otherwise — when people catch on, you’re gonna get hammered for it. Not just you, either. You’ll injure the cause you supposedly represent, too.
Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
