Those poor suffering Palestinians are just pawns in a bigger game.
At any given campus, you will find a Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel movement. BDS they call it.
The rhetoric is predicated on the idea that Palestinians are suffering, and it’s Israel’s fault.
How seriously should we take that idea?
Are they suffering? And if they are, is it Israel’s fault?
Or are they — like suffering people in so many other craphole parts of the world — being victimized by their own self-indulgent leaders?
Trump has told the Palestinians that US aid would be contingent on a serious commitment to the Peace Process, and we are perfectly willing to cut them off.
Here is the public message of one of their leaders, Erkat.
When US President Donald Trump originally threatened to cut aid earlier this month, top PLO official Saeb Erekat said it would lead to starvation among Palestinian refugee children.
“Now, he is threatening to starve Palestinian children in refugee camps and deny their natural rights to health and education, if we don’t endorse his terms and dictations,” Erekat said, referring to Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Maybe the Palestinian Authority should make children a higher priority than, say, buying a Fifty Million dollar Jet.
It’s a SPENDING problem, not an Income problem. Then again, if they had no poverty to parade in front of cameras, they couldn’t manipulate the World Media in their favor.
In a television interview, Abbas tried to claim that this aid was keeping starving moderates from getting desperate and joining ISIS.

Your tax dollars at work: The Palestinian Authority is now using half of its foreign aid to reward terrorism.
The new PA budget boosts support to terrorists in prison by 13 percent and aid for the families of those killed “in the struggle against Zion” 4 percent, reports the Institute for Contemporary Affairs.
The total, $344 million, equals 49.6 percent of all foreign aid to the PA. In other words, cash from Uncle Sam, Europe and even Israel is subsidizing “welfare for terrorists.”
The PA sends a salary to each Palestinian imprisoned for an attack on Israelis, hitting over $3,000 a month after 30 years. Other stipends go to families of “martyrs” killed in the act. That’s $344 million for 2017 that’s not going to build roads or hospitals.
