A society without a moral code is doomed.
We have taken out the Judeo-Christian code—Love God, love your neighbor, Ten Commandments—the very foundation of western law, and replaced it with secular humanism, atheist, progressivism and collectivism, an opposing “moral” code. Public schools now indoctrinate our children with this opposing code, one that teaches them they are mere accidents, there are no absolutes, they are not responsible for their choices, life is meaningless, anything goes.
Hence, the animal nature rules, unchecked, leading to atrocities.
No rational person would blame this tragedy on Democrats or Republicans, or any other group, other than the violence-promoting groups this shooter allegedly embraced (Jihad/Far Left).
First, the individual perpetrator is to blame. Period. Secondly, anyone who knew about his volatility and failed to intervene bears some responsibility. Third, apparently the FBI dropped the ball. To use this tragic event to promote gun control as a tool for political gain is to become an accomplice to cruelty, and violence.
If you outlaw AR15s, they’ll grab some other semi-automatic weapon. If you ban all semi-automatic weapons, you send law-abiding citizens back to the flintlock while the bad guys have ARs.
In what squirrelly universe do politicians take our money, infringe upon our God-given rights, and leave us virtually helpless against growing numbers of atrocity seekers? If you are going to limit something, limit politicians and government and arrogant elitists who think they have a right to run our lives!
If we are serious about protecting students we will step up and do what it takes to have armed guards (jobs for veterans?) at all schools, programs run by the states, coordinating with county sheriffs, with some federal funding to assist. We’ve created an enormous population of people who do not respect the law or the rights of others, caring nothing about life. Consequently, our kids are sitting ducks.
Guards on campus is the only solution that will work. Gun control will never work. Gun-free zones are a cruel joke. Re-establishing a virtuous society may never happen, but if it does it will take two generations.
Hire Vets to guard the schools and mass shootings will become as rare as a rational Democrat.
