Dear America: Officials Wanted FL School Shooter Committed But The ‘Authorities’ Said, ‘Nah.’

Published on March 19, 2018

Think you’ve already heard the worst of those Parkland School government SNAFUS? Not yet, you haven’t.

Thought you’d heard enough of the ‘red flags’, and ‘warning signs’?

Thought you’d heard enough damning information about the ‘Progressive’ Obama-era policy that didn’t want to ‘criminalize’ a poor dear like Nikolas Cruz?

That was just the tip of the iceberg.

He was free to purchase a firearm because he ‘fell through the cracks’, right? Dicks and Walmart changed their firearms purchase policies (21 years old) because of it.

None of that will really matter after you read this:

Officials were so concerned about the mental stability of the student accused of last month’s Florida school massacre that they decided he should be forcibly committed.

But the recommendation was never acted upon.

A commitment under the law would have made it more difficult if not impossible for Nikolas Cruz to obtain a gun legally.

Think anyone would be marching for gun control today if Nikolas had been thrown in some kind of protective custody?

So the problem, once again, wasn’t the guns.

How long ago was this recommendation made?

But more than a year earlier, documents in the criminal case against Nikolas Cruz and obtained by The Associated Press show school officials and a sheriff’s deputy recommended in September 2016 that Cruz be involuntarily committed for a mental evaluation.

It gets better. Guess who made this recommendation.

Coincidentally, the school resource officer who recommended that Cruz be “Baker Acted” was Scot Peterson — the same Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy who resigned amid accusations he failed to respond to the shooting by staying outside the building where the killings occurred.

David S. Weinstein, a former federal prosecutor, said that an involuntary commitment would have been a huge red flag had Cruz attempted to buy a firearm legally.

“If he had lied, hopefully the verification of the form would have pulled up the commitment paperwork,” Weinstein said.

So let’s recap.

The same deputy the Sheriff threw under the bus for dereliction of duty standing outside while a shooter roamed the halls of the school, actually waved a red flag of his own more than a year earlier.

And like they said in the cited piece, if he’d been committed, do you really think he’d have passed any background checks to buy that gun in the first place?

The system isn’t broken, it’s the people administering it that are.

Just like it was with that moron who wiped out the church in Sutherland Springs. We haven’t forgotten that story already, have we?

A family that lost eight members in the Texas church massacre this month filed a notice of claim on Tuesday accusing the Air Force of negligence for not having filed paperwork that could have stopped the gunman from buying his weapons. — NBC

Human error. Of the worst kind.

We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.

It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.

Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.

What is driving them so berzerk?

Looks like we’ve found an answer:

A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…

That’s the ladies’ version. You can get it here.

Don’t worry. There’s one for the guys, too.
