Dear Older Men: Here’s Why You Should Carry Every Where You Go!

This answers both the ‘why carry’ question AND the ‘who needs a magazine that big’ question.

There is a reason “fists and feet” generate almost twice as many fatalities as rifles. It comes from stories like this.

It started off innocently enough. The man, who was about to become the victim, saw two young girls in a fight. He could have ignored it, and carried on, except the place they chose for their fight was especially inconvenient to him.

They were fighting ON HIS truck.

He tried to get them to stop… or at least get off his truck. But before you know it, he was jumped — swarmed, actually — by a crowd of strangers.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged as an adult for his role in beating a 61-year-old alongside a group of approximately 50 other teens in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 22.

Richard Fletcher was brutally beaten by the teens after he went outside to ask two girls who were fighting on top of his truck to move along and continue their dispute elsewhere.

The mob of teens began to hit and kick Fletcher until he fell to the ground, but the attack didn’t end.

After the beating last month, Fletcher was left with broken eye sockets, a broken nose, broken ribs and a brain bleed, according to CBS Baltimore.

He also needed a blood transfusion.

When all was said and done, there were seven people charged, and he had a permanent brain injury and faced $400 THOUSAND in medical bills.

The video shows what happened on April 22, 2015, when two girls from Baltimore Community High School got into a fight that ended up on Fletcher’s pickup truck. The video shows when he goes out to break up the fight, he is beaten and stomped almost to death, and his wallet is stolen.

“The video meant everything because of Mr. Fletcher’s current condition, which is very difficult, I don’t know how he would have been able to identify individuals. I don’t know if he would have been able to hold up in a trial,” Shellenberger said.

It revealed in court that Stewart delivered the kicks to Fletcher’s head, causing permanent brain damage. Her attorneys read a statement from her expressing remorse, and her mother told 11 News outside court that, “She is regretful and I am too. I’m sorry for Mr. Fletcher and his family, very sorry.”

All of the sentences handed down were for 20 years with time suspended. Stewart will receive seven years, Williams 10 years and Halloway 15 years. Baker hasn’t been sentenced yet.

Do you think he’d have a permanent brain injury today if he had been carrying a weapon?

He might not have even had to fire it — sometimes the mere presence of a weapon is enough to deter an aggressor. In that case he’d have spared himself the worst day of his life AND he would have prevented 7 teenage punks from making a decision that would leave them in prison for a decade or more.

And if he had to open fire?

In hindsight, we know that, even if they weren’t armed, it would clearly have been self-defense.

But for Mr. Fletcher to survive an ordeal like that? You’re a fighter. And tough as nails.

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.

The men and women in law enforcement that serve and protect us are commendable, but the response time means that they don’t get there when the bullets are flying.

Are you willing to wait 20 minutes for the police to show up?

It’s an issue that needs to be discussed within our churches and addressed by our church leaders.

We need some righteous badassery in the church to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our brothers and sisters in Christ from the preventable evil in this world.

We need to Obey Jesus.

Including what he said in Luke 22:36.

He [Jesus] said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.
