The events in Florida were horrific and as more information becomes available the more terrible this tragedy is because it could have been stopped. From the officers outside the school who were apparently given stand-down orders, to the FBI call that was ignored, to the multiple trips to this young man’s house and his own call for help, this was a total break down of a system created to stop these very attacks. Walking this back we can see that policy changes instituted by the Obama administration at the Federal level and instructions handed down by the DOJ to local law enforcement along with monetary considerations by the school led to 17 deaths. But now instead of placing the blame where it belongs which is squarely again on liberal Democratic Party policies, the Democrats want to take away our only protection from their radical plan to destroy our constitution and our country. As I shared on the radio today it should also be noted that this is the same County and School District that in 2014 told a fifth-grader his Bible was not allowed in their schools.
“America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” That is a quote attributed to Alex De Tocqueville. It is the goodness of America that drives more people to try to immigrate here than any other nation. The USA has the highest total number of immigrants, being home to 19 percent of the world’s immigrants. It is the goodness of America that causes other nations to look to her for leadership. It is the first amendment,Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, which safeguards the behavior of the Second Amendment, A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Our national problems find their roots in the disregard for the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. We are a sinful people Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And yet God’s response was Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. It is the application of that love that changes the nature of man from that of sin to that of divine, not equal to God but none the less eternal and good, the righteousness of God being imputed to us Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Here in Ephesians 4:
17 This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
20 But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
See how Paul explains the change that takes place. In Romans chapter 1 Paul clearly describes what we are witnessing today when those who know God lay Him aside. Please stay with me here. I know we deal with political issues and contemporary themes, but these truths from scripture are as true today as they were when they were first written and understanding how they fit is key to understanding how to unwind the strategies of those who wish to destroy our nation.
Romans 1:
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Can you see that what is going on right now is directly in relation to what we read here? It is the evidence of the need for the Gospel message to be returned to prominence in our nation.
The following verses from 2 Timothy 3 share what we are seeing:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
This is the behavior of the youth we are seeing and this is the result of the rejection of the truth that was laid out in our Declaration of Independence Our founders knew that an amoral society could not stand. SO they instituted a society built on Christian principles dependent on a loving God to whom they sought for the wisdom to begin this grand experiment. Every evil we see today is the result of abandoning those truths and the solution to every evil act is for us as a nation to turn back to God. In the above writing I lay out for you the attack upon the second amendment and then intertwine for you how each right is dependent on the first amendment being upheld and on the moral structure, this creates in order to function properly. The very selection of those who would represent us must be determined on their commitment to a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ in order to keep them from veering of course.
In closing, while we are working to do our part to spread the ultimate truth that will fix the problem we must right now step up and defend the amendment that gives us the physical means to repel the enemies that would seek to destroy our Republic and steal all of our other rights. So call your Congressional representative and tell them to vote no on HR5087 and introduce legislation to return God, prayer and the Bible back into our schools and public square once again.
