Well THAT is a mixed message, don’t you think? Do they believe in personal protection, or not?
Hollywood HATES guns. (Except when they make millions off of movies and shows built around gun use… Right Matt Damon?)
But they want women to feel ‘safe’ so they are offering pepper spray in those Oscars swag bags.
Pepper spray has long been a popular self-defense item to carry because it’s quick, easy to use, and extremely effective, causing severe irritation of the eyes, skin, and respiratory system. But it’s also important to know that the chemicals will not stop attackers, only slow them down. Pepper spray is simply a diversionary self-defense weapon that can buy you time to get away.

There’s a better way. And Hollywood hasn’t exactly been… stellar… in getting the word out.
Until 5 minutes ago, they were too busy praising Weinstein, Woody Allen, and Roman Polanski as some of the ‘best of the best’. Inexcusable.
Instead of giving attendees pepper spray, how about arming them with something more directly useful. Like the confidence that comes from having situational awareness and a plan if things go sideways.
From the book:
Do I want this to be happening? Why is his hand on my waist? Is he really fondling my breasts? What do I do? Why is he in a bathrobe? Why is he taking off the bathrobe? God, I need to get out of here! I thought this was going to be professional.
No one, unless they’ve been in the same situation, can ever really understand the stress and self-doubt one goes through when sexual harassment occurs.
Regis Giles’ new book will teach you how to escape the world of #MeToo victim and become the #WarriorChick you were meant to be!
Who are you going to look to for solutions? The very industry that shielded predatory wolves for decades while they preyed upon one young woman after another…

…or an ACTUAL strong woman who’s long been a proponent of making women a credible threat to anyone stupid enough to attack them?
Think Miss Giles knows a thing or two about taking care of herself? You’d better believe it.
She and her sister Hannah were the very first two female Valente Bros black Belts. That’s a feather in your cap, for sure.
She’s got a website ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Guns‘ and she had it LONG before it was ‘trendy’ to talk about #MeToo.
She’s also a world-class huntress.
Her sister is no shrinking violet, either. You may remember her from that undercover video that blew the lid off of ACORN’s corrupt practices.
We mention both daughters, not to compare them to each other (both are far better examples of what a strong and independent woman look like than anything a RadFem’s fevered imagination could dream up) but because the other book we’d recommend was written by the man who raised such rowdy, confident, take-no-sh*t-from-anybody young women.
What better testimonial does his book need than his own two daughters; women the whole world can see and appreciate for themselves?
ClashDaily.com’s, Editor-In-Chief, Doug Giles how-to book:
In ‘Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls’, Doug Giles reinforces the notion that little women don’t need to be pampered by their fathers to turn out right. And having met his beautiful daughters, I know his philosophy works. As a strong-willed woman who thinks her daddy is the greatest guy in the world, I can tell you this is a must-read for every man who hopes to earn the same title. —-S.E.
