If you get your news from the Media (D) — and other Democrats — you might think banning high-capacity magazines might make a difference.
That was the case Debbie Wasserman Schultz was trying to make when she showed her contempt for the Second Amendment a little more openly than she probably meant to. She straight up admitted to not wanting civilians to have access to ‘those’ guns.

The ‘BAN THEM’ brigade is marching, looking to put every possible limitation on lawful gun owners — Truth be damned — without any regard to whether these proposed limitations have anything WHATSOEVER to do with stopping the kind of shootings you pretend to care so much about.
If the goal were stopping killings, you would be looking at the failure points and addressing them. Like Sheriff Israel, his deputies, his department, the FBI, Broward’s “PROMISE” program that kept the killer from showing up as a threat, the teacher who locked the door, trapping students in the hallway.

The Democrats are discussing none of these things.
They are discussing what can be ‘done about guns’.
For instance, they are pressing for a ban on ‘high capacity’ magazines.
But why are they looking at that, when the killer used perfectly ordinary magazines for the perfectly ordinary most popular supposedly ‘scary black rifle’ in the nation. The recently-demonized AR-15 that Debbie Wasserman Schultz has admitted wanting to make illegal in the article we referenced earlier.
Well, if it’s not to prevent this from happening again, there must be some other reason, huh?
Maybe because an armed population is hard for an overreaching government to push around.
Which, for anyone who knows their history, is kind of the point of ‘shall not be infringed’.
