Deep State: Do Comey’s Memos Reveal That Briefing Trump On The Steele Dossier Was A Setup?

Will the trap Comey set for Trump backfire on its designer?

Everything was in a holding pattern, waiting to start the ball rolling.

Everyone had a copy of the ‘dirty dossier’ but nobody ran with it. They couldn’t.

Why? Because it was a fraud, and everyone in the news knew it.

If it COULD have been corraborated, however weakly, they would have happily run with the ‘scoop’. But, like a Wild West gunfight, they were waiting for someone else to ‘draw’.

Do you REALLY think the networks that were willing to fly a journalist to visit a prostitute in a Russsian prison would have TRIED to verify the story so they could run with it? They came up empty.

Nobody wanted to be ‘on the hook’ for a story that had no credibility.

James Comey to the rescue. Even in his memos, he told the President that CNN and others were itching for a way to make this story newsworthy.

Comey gave them the ‘miracle’ they wanted on a silver platter:

Alone in the room with the President, somehow it still managed to be a headline the very next day.

“Intel chiefs presented Trump with claims of Russian efforts to compromise him.”

CNN referenced the dossier.

That was all the justification Buzzfeed needed to actually release it.

And just like that, Comey’s plan to oust Trump by setting up Muller as a Special Investigatior (however transparently unconstituional that appointment may be) was unfolding beautifully.

Comey himself admitted in those same memos that forcing the appointment of a Special Prosecutor was his explicit aim.

Four of the seven memos are classified, meaning that at least one of the memos he leaked was classified. By his own account, Comey orchestrated these leaks to the media in order to launch an aggressive special counsel to avenge his firing by Trump in May 2017. The memos given to Congress on Thursday were quickly leaked to the media.

We would note that since the date of the CNN story predates his Inauguration and Comey’s firing, it seems pretty clear Comey’s motives for knocking off Trump weren’t merely ‘payback’. Looks like he was #TeamResistance from the word go.

Here’s the trail of breadcrumbs as set out by Mollie Hemingway

So Comey, at Clapper’s expressed behest, told Trump that CNN was “looking for a news hook” to publish dossier allegations. He said this in the briefing of Trump that almost immediately leaked to CNN, which provided them the very news hook they sought and needed.

This briefing, and the leaking of it, legitimized the dossier, which touched off the Russia hysteria. That hysteria led to a full-fledged media freakout. During the freakout, Comey deliberately refused to say in public what he acknowledged repeatedly in private — that the President of the United States was not under investigation. He even noted in his memos that he told the president at least three times that he was not under investigation. Comey’s refusal to admit publicly what he kept telling people privately led to his firing.

That led to Comey leaking multiple memos in order to get a special counsel appointed out of revenge. That special counsel has utterly distracted multiple agencies and embroiled all three branches of government at the highest levels. All over a document that was secretly funded by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, contracted by a Democrat research firm with ties to the Kremlin, and authored by a shady foreign spy whose relationship with the FBI was terminated because he lied to them.

Wouldn’t it be delicious irony if the memos he crafted to bring down Trump are exactly the instrument of Comey’s own demise?

What makes America so different from other nations? Other nations are built around regimes or systems. But America was built from on ideas. From a blank slate.

Built on ideas that are DANGEROUS to tyrants.

That we have God-Given Rights, like Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Dangerous ideas. Like this one: the people, when threatened, have a God-Given right to stand up in defiance of any government that dares threaten any of those rights.

There’s a men’s version

And a women’s version, too

Because in America, the bros AND the ladies BOTH have a rich history of badass rowdiness.
