MAGA: Poll Shows Republicans Could Pick Up 9 Senate Seats

So much for a ‘Blue Wave’ in 2018 when it comes to Senate seats. Can you say ‘Red Wave’?

A Morning Consult Poll reveals that just 6 months out from the midterm election, Republicans could pick up as many as 9 Senate seats.

Incumbent Democrats are facing some serious competition by their Republican challengers:

  • Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is trailing by 14 points
  • Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) is trailing by 8 points
  • Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) is trailing by 5
  • Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) also trails by 5
  • Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) is in a deadlock with Rick Scott
  • Sen. Bill Casey (D-PA) is leading by less than 2 points (within the margin of error for the poll, so essentially it’s currently a statistical tie)
  • Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is also leading by a slim margin of fewer than 2 points
  • Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) is leading by just 3 points (again within the margin of error.) It’s quite the embarrassment considering he was Hillary’s running mate.

As we learned in 2016, polls aren’t always reliable.

Right now, it’s unclear what will happen in November. When it comes to polls, they’re all over the place. Most are showing the Democrats with a lead in the House seats, but a deficit in the Senate.

Currently, the polls for House seats swing from Quinnipiac and Monmouth with the Dems at an 8-point lead, RealClearPolitics in the middle with a 6.7% lead, and the Economist/YouGov showing a modest 3-point lead.

With the data we have, it looks as though Republicans will lose some House seats but gain some in the Senate.

That’s not really a surprise with the constant drumbeat of ‘Impeach 45!’ and the ‘Resist’ crowd vilifying the GOP at every turn, all while ‘Flyover America’ continues to push for their voice to be heard.

Politics is incredibly divided right now, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way all the way through the midterms.

The best case scenario in the Senate is certainly good news for Republicans — imagine having a firm majority in the Senate. That’s great news for Making America Great Again!

Now, we just need to work on not bleeding too many Republican seats in the House.

Let’s get out there and help our GOP candidates!

What makes America so different from other nations? Other nations are built around regimes or systems. But America was built from on ideas. From a blank slate.

Built on ideas that are DANGEROUS to tyrants.

That we have God-Given Rights, like Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Dangerous ideas. Like this one: the people, when threatened, have a God-Given right to stand up in defiance of any government that dares threaten any of those rights.
