Recently, it was the Memorial Day weekend and I spent some of the time looking at old World War Two movies. I was a child then, but I still remember what America was like. We had ration books, bought war bonds, and listened to the radio for news of our brave members of the armed forces. We were always anxious to hear what was happening in both the European and Pacific theaters. We worried about all our relatives and friends who were in the service…and cried when we heard that a friend or neighbor had lost a loved one.
We heard about the massacre of the Jews of Europe and the concentration camps, but all the horrors weren’t exposed until after the war ended. As Jews, my family was both saddened and appalled by the Holocaust. I later found out, as an adult, after visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, that all of my relatives who remained in Europe were annihilated by the Nazis.
Our country was at war and everyone pitched in to help our government fight back to destroy the evil of the Axis (Germany, Japan, and Italy). Patriotism was at an all-time high with both Republicans and Democrats working together for America. As the years went by a gradual change began to occur.
It was insidious…hardly noticeable. However, with the election of Barack Hussein Obama it became crystal clear which way the Democrat party was going and how Obama was planning to “fundamentally transform America”. The stressing of areas which were divisive to this country took center stage and a globalist, progressive, agenda was pushed. Racial division was encouraged, illegals and the followers of Islam were permitted to pour into our country. They were given all kinds of goodies. Schools stopped teaching and became indoctrination centers, colleges and universities allowed harassment, rejection, and hate toward those who had conservative views. Many on the left repeatedly voiced their hatred for America. Economically, we were going downhill with the jobless rate ascending, along with the welfare rolls.
For eight years, we the people, lived with a government that was deceitful, corrupt, and against everything that has been, and is, the United States of America. So, we elected Donald Trump, who is trying very hard to make America great again in spite of all the obstruction, lies, vicious rhetoric, and childish antics from the left. Patriotism was, and still is, nowhere to be found with the lefties. It appears that eight years of brainwashing has paid off for the Liberal lunatics, but there are still some of us who don’t buy the garbage they’re selling. No, we do not want a Socialist state and we insist on keeping our Republic intact. That is what men and women fought and died for in all of our wars. Now, it is time to fight for the USA IN the USA, so that those who perished did not die in vain.
Last word: To help President Trump make America great again and to honor our fallen heroes, vote for the conservative Republicans in November. This will help us to preserve our freedoms.
