The Unspoken Ideological Common Ground Between ISIS And Secularism

The people who murdered Alfie Evans offer their condolences. How touching!

We wish to express our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Alfie’s family at this extremely distressing time. All of us feel deeply for Alfie, Kate, Tom and his whole family and our thoughts are with them. This has been a devastating journey for them and we would ask that their privacy and the privacy of staff at Alder Hey is respected.”

We rightly criticize Islam for devaluing human life. Western secularism, misnamed “progressivism”, brings out a sanitized version of cruelty that leaves its victims no less tortured and no less dead. ISIS cuts the heads off their victims; socialists starve their victims to death. Don’t ever believe the lie that leftists are compassionate.

Sure, they might give you “free” (i.e., confiscated) stuff, but the moment you are deemed to be in their way, socialism might make a quick execution by ISIS seem good by comparison. Shame on the U.K. and shame on those who understand what socialized medicine means for the weak and advocate it nevertheless.

A few days ago on Facebook, Steve Deace wrote:

Alfie Evans died overnight. Prayers for his family in their time of mourning, and for the heartless depraved souls in his government that murdered him in broad daylight in a way they wouldn’t have treated an animal.

Make no mistake, the UK government murdered Alfie, just like ours did to Terri Schiavo. Don’t sugar coat it. Don’t forget it. And don’t ever again question why God permits a Hell.

People have asked, “Why do you so detest big government, Shawn?”

I guess it’s partly because big government literally murders children.
