Elite Liberal Media Admits It: They Think Trump Supporters Are Dumb

The April 24, 2018 edition of The Washington Times reported an interview from Variety in which CNN political reporter Jim Acosta said of Trump voters, “They don’t have all their faculties in some cases — their elevator might not hit all floors.” Sadly, it wasn’t the first time or the only time in which the elites have looked dismissively upon the regular Americans who elected Donald Trump president. Jim Clapper, in an interview with Judy Woodruff of PBS in late May of this year, insinuated that too many American voters were manipulated by the Russians which tipped the 2016 election to Donald Trump. According to the former Director of National Intelligence, we who voted for Trump were just too unsophisticated to see through Russian manipulation. Lately, though, the Democrats and the media have pushed this idea to new levels.

The House convened a joint interview last week with FBI agent Peter Strzok in which members of both the Oversight and Judiciary committees publicly questioned him. The Democrats turned the questioning into a circus with ridiculous and rude comments throughout much of the hearing. In a particularly abhorrent moment that disrespected many veterans, Rep, Steve Cohen, a Tennessee Democrat, suggested that Strzok deserved a Purple Heart for enduring the legitimate questioning of his potentially illegal acts. The main take away from this inquiry is that the Democrats and the media believe we, the regular folks, are stupid. Strzok, the Democrats and their media allies want us to believe that Strzok did not act in a biased way even though his texts say otherwise.

The Strzok texts reveal quite a bit. In one particularly significant exchange, Lisa Page asked if Trump would ever become president. Strzok texted back, “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.” Commenting on Trump supporters, Strzok texted Page, “Just went to a Southern Virginia Walmart. I could SMELL the Trump support.” Revealing his own feelings about Trump, Strzok texted Trump was a “douche”, a “loathsome human”, and that the prospect of Trump winning was “F*** TERRIFYING.” In the hearing Strzok attempted to spin context around these texts to soften the message. To regular people though, these sentiments seem to reveal a person who is biased against, perhaps even has a hatred of, Trump and his supporters.

It is important to remember that Strzok had prominent roles in both the Clinton email investigation and the Trump collusion investigation. However, Strzok, the Democrats and the media want us to believe that he acted with no bias. In his own words Strzok said, “there is simply no evidence of bias in my professional actions.” Liberal Don Lemon of CNN blasted Republicans “as having conducted a hearing that was a sham and a travesty that did the bidding of Russia.” John Brennan, ex-CIA director called the Republicans pursuit of the truth, “a mockery of the oversight function and responsibility that is supposed to be a bipartisan effort to try to make sure we keep this country strong and safe.”

The bottom line is this. They think we are too dumb to realize the truth. Peter Strzok and some who worked with him were biased against Trump. They were stunned by his election and consider those who elected him to be rubes and fools. There has been no evidence to date of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign which Strzok, himself, feared as he texted, “my gut sense and concern is there’s no big there there.” The media, the Democrats and defenders of the Deep State want to muddy the waters regarding the nature and origin of the Russian collusion investigation. They believe we are too dense to see through their web of deceit.

The Left’s disdain for average Americans is also on display in how they cover President Trump’s depiction of the Mueller probe as a “witch hunt.” Jake Tapper of CNN, upon Mueller’s recent indictment of twelve Russians for hacking the DNC, insisted that the Mueller probe was “not a total witch hunt.” Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez concurs that the Mueller’s probe, because of the twelve indictments, is “not a witch hunt.” The Left has tried mightily to conflate two very different things. It is true that the Russians hacked into DNC computers and attempted to hack into RNC computers during the 2016 election. The fact that the Russians did something is abundantly clear.

However, no facts exist to date to indicate any collusion among the Trump campaign and the Russians. The Democrats and their media allies, though, have for about eighteen months tried to use the first fact to delegitimize President Trump’s election. It is no wonder President Trump will not give an inch, even in the news conference with Putin, about collusion. What is the truth they think we are too dumb to get? When President Trump talks about a “witch hunt,” he’s talking about the collusion probe. I suspect he knows the Russians tampered with our election process. The “witch hunt” is about delegitimizing his election.

The media, the Democrats and the Deep State think they’re smarter, better educated and better equipped to make decisions than we are. We must continue to stand strong. In the mid-term elections let’s remind them once again that we want to make America great again.
