Democrats and leftist activists have weaponized the MeToo campaign to discredit a judge with allegations of sexual misconduct that occurred before he was the age of majority.
What is being categorized all over the Media (D) as ‘attempted rape’ attributes motive to the alleged perpetrator who the victim admits was drunk at the time.
And, if she’s right with the year that she thinks it is, he was 17 at the time, which would mean that even if he had been charged with the misdemeanor crime and convicted at the time of the incident, his records would have been sealed.
What is incredibly astounding is the Democrats have tossed aside the concept of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ in this particular case because all victims of sexual assault need to be heard and believed.
Unless they were raped by Bill Clinton…
…or had medical records showing abuse by Rep. Keith Ellison… etc., etc.
They’ll tell you that the college ‘Dear Colleague’, Title IX, kangaroo court system was the way to go with sexual assault — guilty until proven innocent.
How’d that work out with the Duke Lacrosse team?
Or with Columbia’s ‘Mattress Girl’?
Dr. Christine Blasey Ford may have indeed been the victim of a horrible act of sexual assault when she was 15 (she thinks) but she doesn’t have definitive proof that it was Judge Brett Kavanaugh who committed it. Even if she did, it’s beyond the statute of limitations. We have the statute of limitations for a reason — some crimes are harder to prove the longer that you wait. Especially a vague, drunken grope that would have been a misdemeanor had anyone been charged at all.
All that Dr. Blasey Ford has as proof is her memory, and that’s pretty sketchy.
She had named 4 people at the party besides herself — Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, Patrick (P.J.) Smyth, and Leland Ingham Keyser.
Both Kavanaugh and Judge immediately denied any knowledge of a party, so they could not have attended one that didn’t exist. Later, through a letter from his attorney, Smyth also said he had no idea what party that Dr. Blasey Ford was referring to.
And now, Leland Ingham Keyser has also said that despite being a ‘lifelong friend’ of Dr. Blasey Ford, she also has no recollection of that party, nor does she know Brett Kavanaugh.
Of the five in attendance, only the victim recalls that there was a party, and she can’t tell you when, where, or why the gathering took place.
In a statement obtained by Breitbart News, Keyser’s attorney, Howard Walsh, wrote, “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.” According to the news outlet, Walsh confirmed that his client and Ford are “lifelong friend[s].”

Keyser’s denial comes amid reports that attorneys for Ford and committee staffers reached a tentative agreement Saturday to hold a hearing for the professor on Thursday and will hold another round of talks Sunday to pin down more details. However, as the New York Times notes, negotiations could still falter, putting Ford’s testimony in jeopardy, yet again.
In a series of late Friday tweets, the chairman said he would give more time to Ford’s legal team to decide if they would accept the committee’s proposal for Wednesday testimony.
“Judge Kavanaugh I just granted another extension to Dr Ford to decide if she wants to proceed w the statement she made last week to testify to the senate She shld decide so we can move on I want to hear her,” Grassley tweeted. “I hope u understand. It’s not my normal approach to b indecisive.”

The Democrats have shown their disdain for the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, and now a portion of the Fifth Amendment.
There is just no getting around it, one party wants to preserve the principles that the United States was founded on, and one does not.
Don’t sit on your hindquarters come November, we need to keep the House and the Senate under Republican control, or we’re just going to get more of this crap.
And then we can get ready for 2020.
