It’s that time of year again where the perpetually-offended find something wrong with anything Christmas-related.
This time it’s not even something overtly Christian, but rather, a heartwarming, secular Christmas story that generations of children have grown up with.
It’s now suddenly ‘sexist’ and ‘racist.’
The Huffington Post retweeted their video from 2017 titled, ‘Rudolph, the Marginalized Reindeer’.
Watch the bizarro take on the Christmas classic:
The holiday TV classic "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" is seriously problematic. 😳 https://t.co/dOgqPF3bAP
— HuffPost (@HuffPost) November 29, 2018
Talk about completely missing the point. The story chronicles the tale of the lone red-nosed reindeer that is mocked and shunned by his peers. Rudolph’s father, other ‘adult’ reindeer, and even Santa himself behave badly, with what is now considered bullying, towards Rudolph. In the end, however, Rudolph becomes the hero that saves Christmas, everyone that was nasty realizes that they were wrong and they all apologize while reconizing that being different isn’t a bad thing. So, it’s a heartwarming story with a happy ending.
But HuffPo clearly didn’t understand the storyline at all.
Of course, this is nothing new for the left who seem to make it their goal to find something offensive in everything and then lecture you for saying that they’re reading things into a story that just isn’t there.
In 2016, Vulture had an entire article dedicated to the alleged ‘gay subtext’ of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
The HuffPo tweet was lambasted and soundly mocked by conservatives on Twitter, including the (formerly) permanently suspended, Jesse Kelley.

Ain’t that the truth?
I don’t think these people know what “antagonist” means.

Wait, so you’re telling me, in as story about overcoming adversity and bullying, the character had to be bullied? YA DON’T SAY!

Imagine taking 54 years to figure out that everybody was rude to Rudolph.

Rudolph is the tale of a marginalised character who truimphs over adversary because of his uniqueness…..the left hate this story, because it undermines the victim narrative.

Go away…..honestly, find something worthwhile to do with your life

And yet somehow as a 5 year old I was able to feel empathy for Rudolph and all the misfits and learned to treat people with respect and kindness. Unlike the emotionally triggered who stomp out any happiness they find. Sorry Huffpo, not playing any of your reindeer games.

Hey, HuffPo, I found the perfect uniform for your writers! It will protect them from all of the “problematic” elements of society, including children’s stories. pic.twitter.com/VpEikZxKHi

You literally missed the entire point of the story pic.twitter.com/XAq3uAZpY7

Y’all are trash. Without these adversities and differences Rudolf had to contend w/ he never would have had anything to overcome and there wouldn’t even be a story in the first place. This is the direct result of our participation trophy society ya’ll are so lovingly cultivating.

This sudden concern for the possible brainwashing of children is pretty rich coming from an organization that is also celebrating the ‘Barrier-breaking’ new children’s clothing line by Celine Dion called Célinununu. If you haven’t seen this creepiness yet, it’s an overpriced ‘gender-neutral’ clothing line that is basically black and white with images like skulls and this shirt perfect for bringing your kid to the lates Antifa protest outside of the house of a Fox News host.
Besides, why be outraged by a children’s classic from 1964?
Here’s something that you can be outraged about that’s from 2018:
I’ll be honest, I’m way more offended by that than the 1964 stop-motion animated Christmas special.
