Rep. Occasional-Cortex Says That Illegal Aliens Crossing The Border Are ‘More American’ Than President Trump

The left wonders why conservatives are so obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It’s because she says ridiculous things like this.

Why do we call her ‘Occasional-Cortex’?

Simple — her cortex only works occasionally.

As evidenced in this ‘Meeting of the Minds’ where Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show to respond to the President’s Special Address regarding border security.

During her long, rambling statement, Rep. AOC said that the people crossing the border illegally are ‘more in the American tradition’ than President Trump.

Also, how many times should you say ‘moreover’ in a brief tv stint? (I say zero.)

I guess this is an example of AOC being ‘morally right’ but ‘factually incorrect’…

Actually, she’s neither morally right nor factually correct.

Is she really saying that people trying to push their way into the country illegally is more in the ‘American tradition’ than enforcing the law on the books?

Is she high?

Not a single Republican is saying that the Wall will end all immigration problems, but it will curb the illegal border crossing. Lately, it’s been more families coming across for economic reasons. Is it compassionate to allow them to continue to put themselves in harm’s way where tragedies occur like the death of that child that was in the custody of ICE because parents crossed a border illegally? The point is to keep families together and that doesn’t mean give them a free pass into the country. We have an immigration system, and we need to enforce the law. The fact is, these illegal aliens are clogging up the system and preventing legal immigrants from having their cases looked at in a timely manner. It’s insulting to those that spend the time and money to try to honor the law.

Let’s face it, the immigration system is broken in many ways, and it needs to be fixed. But it would be nice if Democrats would allow Republicans to fix what they see as a big problem by funding the wall.

President Ronald Reagan signed the ‘immigration reform bill’ into law in 1986 which granted millions of illegal aliens amnesty with the promise from Democrats that the southern border would be secured. They reneged. And now we’re here again with the Democrats refusing to budge.

Well, guess what? Neither is the President.

We need to fund the wall first, then we can talk about other aspects of immigration reform. Because frankly, we just don’t trust you to live up to your word, Democrats.
