It looks like the anti-Semitism of the Democrat ‘fresh face’ was just the tip of the iceberg of problematic. Here’s the 411 on the WTF…
Buckle up, this one is gonna be pretty heavy.
There have been rumors about Rep. Ilhan Omar(D-MN) circulating on Republican Twitter for some time, but the details were sketchy and ClashDaily wanted to ensure due diligence before publishing rumor and innuendo as fact. In our divided era where there is undeserved vilification of political opponents, we didn’t want to add fuel to the fire if the allegations made about her were untrue. Because we don’t want to be traffickers of ‘fake news’. *cough*Buzzfeed*cough*
Hat-tip to David Steinberg of PJ Media who has been investigating Omar for some time now and compiled the details and verified the facts into several articles beginning in August 2018.
Here’s what we know about Ilhan Omar.
She is a celebrated Democrat ‘fresh face’ that is lauded for being the first Somali-American member of Congress, as well as one of the first two Muslim women in the House. The other Muslim woman is Rep. Rashida Tlaib(D-MI), who has been making quite a stir since her election. The Media(D) were fawning over Rep. Omar because she isn’t just a woman, a Somali-American, she also came to the United States as a refugee and wears a headscarf. #ChecksAllTheBoxes
Omar’s family had fled Somalia in 1991 during the civil war and spent 4 years in a refugee camp in Kenya. CNN also notes that she helped author a Democrat proposal to end the 200-year old rule that banned headwear on the floor of the House.

1. Omar Endorsed Somalia’s New President — Days Later Her Brother-In-Law Gets A Powerful Job In The Administration
First, understand that there is corruption and there is corruption. Somalia has been ranked last on the planet by Transparency International, which is an organization that exposes government corruption around the world. Somalia has been ranked dead last for 11 consecutive years. Realize that this means that Somalia has a higher level of corruption than places like Venezuela and North Korea. The New York Times noted that Somalia ‘has languished without a functioning central government for more than 25 years and has been propped up by billions of dollars of American aid,’ and the 2017 Presidential election in Somalia caused ‘corruption inflation.’ What does that mean, you ask? Well, in one case, one candidate’s opponent was his maid. Politicians were paying cash for votes while running against political nobodies to make the election look ‘fair’. And then there was the interference by Shabab militants, a deadly Islamic group.
But several analysts, investigators and some Western diplomats say the election has turned out to be a milestone of corruption, one of the most fraudulent political events in Somalia’s history — and that’s saying something, given that the country is already ranked by Transparency International, a global anticorruption organization, as the most corrupt on earth.

Just weeks after being elected to Minnesota’s state legislature in 2016, Omar took a trip to Mogadishu at the invitation of Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh, who was favored to win reelection. She went there with her father and her ‘cultural husband’ Ahmed Hirsi. Any elected official from the United States would lend credibility to a campaign.
But Hassan Sheikh wasn’t the only candidate that Omar met with. She also flew from Nairobi to Mogadishu with former Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, known as ‘Farmaajo’, which means ‘Cheese’. Farmaajo was a U.S. citizen who had left his cubicle job with the New York Department of Transportation in Buffalo in order to run for President of Somalia. The New York Times labeled his campaign as, ‘one of the most fraudulent political events in Somalia’s history‘ because ‘some Parliament seats had gone for more than $1 million each.‘
Nevertheless, Farmaajo won and was sworn in on February 16, 2017. On February 20, Farmaajo appointed Hassan Ali Khayre as Prime Minister, a man with rather sketchy connections and was the director of Soma Oil & Gas. Soma was investigated for suspected bribery of Somali officials. A 2016 leak suggests that Khayre used his Al-Shabaab connections to enrich the company. Not only that, Khayre was appointed to the Soma Oil position by a man listed as one of the 210 Vladimir Putin associates that Congress is considering sanctioning. Khayre was sworn in on March 1.
Back in Minnesota, Omar and her ‘cultural husband’ Ahmed Hirsi were keynote speakers at a victory celebration in the U.S. for Farmaajo. She appeared at the event with a Farmaajo button and praised him making specific mention of Hassan Ali Khayre in a brief speech filled with religious imagery.

On March 3, Mohamed Keynan, a U.S. citizen and Ilhan Omar’s brother-in-law, began working as the permanent secretary to Prime Minister Khayre. Keynan is married to Sahra Noor, Omar’s sister. Interestingly, despite having seven siblings, Sahra is the only sibling that Ilhan has publicly acknowledged. There are even photos of the sisters together. They lived together in multiple residences in Minnesota, including one that included Sahra, Ilhan, their father, and Sahra’s husband, Mohamed Keynan.

2. The Media(D) Covered Her ‘Historic’ Win — NONE Covered Her Anti-Semitism
Rep. Omar’s anti-Semitism has reared its ugly head again in the last few days, but it’s really nothing new. She has said that Israel is committing ‘evil’ and that the Israeli regime has hypnotized the world.

Despite that, the Media(D) have completely ignored this, as well as some other problematic behavior by Omar.
In October 2018, the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board launched an investigation into Omar’s campaign finances used for personal travel expenses. This was after evidence of a third violation surfaced.
A huge amount of evidence exists, including state records and school documents that Omar has committed multiple federal and state felonies, including immigration fraud and perjury. (More on this below.)
Despite this, the Media(D) has published over 100 glowing articles on the Democratic ‘fresh face’ Ilhan Omar.
3. Omar Appears To Have Married Her Brother…
Ilhan Omar has been married to two different men. In 2002, she married Ahmed Hirsi, and it’s unclear when they split up — or if they ever did. They had two children together. Omar then married a British citizen, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009. Shortly after the wedding in Minnesota, the newlyweds moved to North Dakota to attend North Dakota State University. Omar then says that the marriage lasted until 2011, and she has not seen Elmi since then.
After her failed marriage, Omar apparently ‘reconciled’ with Hirsi and applied for a divorce from Elmi in 2017 in order to remarry her first husband, with whom she had a third child.
Here are the documents that she filed which list the full name of her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and his date of birth as 4/4/85. These are for a default divorce because Omar claims that she was unable to locate Elmi in order to serve the papers. They are filed under penalty of perjury.
But here’s where it gets really weird…
However, Rep. Omar — per her own statement — had married another man, Ahmed Hirsi, by Islamic ceremony in 2002. And publicly available address records show that Ahmed Hirsi also moved to North Dakota from 2009 until 2011.
There was no “break” for Omar and Hirsi.
All three, in fact — Omar, Hirsi, and Elmi — are recorded to have been living together in North Dakota at the same address in 2009. All three are then recorded as living together at a second North Dakota address in 2010-2011.
Then, Rep. Omar herself — perhaps in a moment of carelessness — admitted to a reporter in 2013 that Hirsi and their two children were living with her as she attended NDSU.

As for Ahmed Elmi, David Steinberg hunted through public records and what he found was shocking. He found an Ahmed N. Elmi in St. Paul, Minnesota through the St. Paul Public Schools archives, with the exact same birthdate as what was listed on the 2017 divorce papers.
St. Paul Public Schools stated to me that federal law (FERPA) and Minnesota law forbid it from releasing the names of Ahmed N. Elmi’s parents/legal guardians, address, or phone number from his enrollment record without Elmi’s signed permission — or a warrant.
I then contacted several members of the Class of 2003 — and I was told that Eli “was living with his father” while attending Arlington Senior High School. I have also obtained the likely address.
Further, Elmi’s father was identified as the same man Ilhan Omar has always publicly referred to as her own father: Nur Said Elmi Mohamed. (Read about Somali naming tradition here.)

It appears that Omar and Hirsi were living together for the entire duration of her marriage to Elmi. Indeed, address records show that they all lived together in North Dakota.
Omar admits that she married a ‘British citizen’ in 2009, but that the claims that he is her brother are ridiculous.
4. …In Order To Facilitate Immigration And Student Loan Fraud
Allegations against Rep. Ilhan Omar center around her 2009-2017 marriage to a British citizen named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who appears to be her brother. Omar is alleged to have married Elmi in the service of federal felonies: immigration fraud and student loan fraud. (While the latter may seem comparably minor, the penalties for a falsified FAFSA are severe: a $20,000 fine and up to five years in prison. Also, a falsified FAFSA implicates the accused in years of subsequent fraudulent filings with the IRS.) Additionally, there is evidence of state felonies: marriage fraud, and multiple instances of perjury during her 2009 marriage filings and her 2017 divorce proceedings.

Why wasn’t this covered by the Media(D)?
Well, Omar was poised to take Keith Ellison’s seat in Congress, and they wouldn’t want to appear Islamophobic, right?
5. Omar May Have Committed Perjury Relating To Her Marriage And Divorce
Omar signed the default divorce papers under penalty of perjury. If she had contact with Elmi after 2011, that means that he could have been served divorce papers.
It appears that the pair were in contact over social media. An Instagram post from 2013 belonging to Elmi appears to confirm this.

A closer examination of Omar’s divorce papers reveals that she attested that she had no contact with Elmi since June 2011, but that she had a child between then and the filing of the papers in 2017.
In 2016, Ilhan told the press that her 2009 marriage to Ahmed Elmi was essentially a two-year hiatus from her relationship with Ahmed Hirsi, the legal father of all three of her children. She claimed to have separated from Hirsi, then met and married Elmi, a relationship which failed permanently sometime around June 2011, and then rekindled with Hirsi and had a third child.
Ilhan is filing for default divorce here. I cannot imagine that a judge would grant a divorce without Elmi even being served if the paternity of a minor child was in question.

Then there’s this photo from Ahmed Elmi’s Instagram account of him holding a newborn baby on June 12, 2012, the day after his legal wife, Ilhan, had given birth to her third child, Ilwad.
In the photograph, Elmi identifies the infant as his ‘niece’.

BONUS: Ilhan Omar Denounces ‘Money In Politics’ But Is Scheduled To Speak At A CAIR Event
Funny how she is against registered groups lobbying politicians in the United States but is fine with individuals greasing palms in Somalia. And, by the way, she’s even wrong on the groups handing cash over to ‘buy’ a pro-Israeli position.
In her latest spate of anti-Semitic tweets, she suggested that the United States was pro-Israel because American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was handing out ‘Benjamins’. AIPAC doesn’t donate money directly to politicians, however. It’s an organization that is bi-partisan and works to strengthen U.S.-Israeli relations.
Much like the Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR) works to advance causes that are important to the Muslim community in the United States. Speaking of CAIR, Omar is scheduled to speak at a banquet for CAIR in March. This is after she was scheduled to speak at a conference with a man who has openly applauded violence against Jews… but that was all a big misunderstanding.
Is Omar not concerned that members of CAIR won’t be spreading around cash to influence politicians? CAIR has been listed as a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates.
Since Omar denounces lobbying money so vociferously, why isn’t anyone asking her if she is being paid for her speeches? How about a question on why she is willing to speak at an organization that has been suspected of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorist groups? Or maybe, why she thinks it’s ok for Muslims to have organizations that promote their interests while she obviously doesn’t hold the same position for Jewish Americans?
Interesting that the Media(D) is giving her a free pass when they spend time on how many scoops of ice cream the President gets, eh?
