What is it with Democrats and cozying up to anti-Semitism?
While the ink is still wet on the articles condemning a different freshman Congresswoman’s anti-Semitic remarks, some new info on Rep. Rashida Tlaib(D-MI) has tied her to notorious anti-Semite, Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.
The Nation of Islam has been peddling anti-Semitic and anti-white hatred for decades. Louis Farrakhan recently likened Jews to termites. (That is still up on Twitter, by the way.) He even called for an all-out race war which leftist ‘fact-checker’ Snopes admitted was true.
Business Insider reports that Tlaib wrote an article that was published in 2006 on The Final Call, a blog founded by Farrakhan.
Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan published a column in 2006 on The Final Call, an online publication founded and maintained by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
Rep. Tlaib has also been connected with other rabid anti-Semites. My mother used to say, ‘if you lie down with dogs, you get fleas‘, actually, she’s Jamaican, so it was more like, ‘yuh mingle wid dawg, yuh get flea‘. Basically, it means that if you spend time with a particular crowd, their traits will rub off on you.
How many times does someone have to overtly display their anti-Semitism and close connections with anti-Semites before the Media(D) calls it out for what it is?
Get ready for the ubiquitous ‘news stories’ that ‘Republicans pounce‘ on the Tlaib-Farrakhan connection.
A spokesperson for Tlaib issued a statement to Business Insider:
“As a former immigration attorney and advocate, Congresswoman Tlaib has published numerous articles about the need for immigrant rights. The goal was to educate citizens about the importance of passing just and humane immigration reform, which is still a priority for her district today.
The piece was from 2006 and was not an endorsement of Farrakhan or anyone for that matter. The Congresswoman has not had any direct contact with Farrakhan and condemns his anti-Semitic and anti-LGBTQ views.”
Unsurprisingly, Democrat leaders are defending both Tlaib and Omar.
But Democratic leadership has so far defended Tlaib and Omar. House Democratic Caucus Chair and New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries dismissed concerns of anti-Semitism last month, as did House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.
“I don’t know that I draw the conclusion that these two members are anti-Semitic,” Hoyer said. “I don’t accept that.”
It’s not just anti-Semitism that Republicans are put off by. Tlaib has become notorious for saying utterly stupid things and not apologizing for them.
She’s also suggested that women use sex as a weapon to get the men in their lives to agree with them on politics. Which, is totally sane, amirite?
The article itself isn’t anti-Semitic. But it is important to see what Tlaib’s views are on a relevant issue in 2019 — immigration reform.
Her article was about deportations for minor offenses that she says specifically targetted Muslims after 9/11.
First unearthed by conservative blogger Jeryl Bier, Tlaib penned a column titled “Bills must stop deportations for minor offenses,” which takes issue with deportations for minor offenses.
“Lost in the often-vitriolic national quarrel over immigration reform is any examination of proposed measures that would result in excessive punishment, such as detention and deportation, for the most minor offenses,” she wrote. “Concern for ‘national security’ has introduced unprecedented insecurity to living in the United States as a legal permanent resident.”

She can publish columns with her opinions on issues of national interest. (Heck, I do that just about every day!) The issue is where it was published and who that website was connected to. She must have given her permission to have the article published, so she must have known who was connected with it.
So, what did the much-lauded by the Media(D) first Palestinian Congresswoman have to say about her writing showing up on Farrakhan’s blog?
Oddly, not much.
There is no doubt that my life's work is centered on equality and justice. I am not easily bullied away from choosing peace and truth dialogue. It is the reason my residents elected me. I hope my colleagues see my presence as an opportunity for peace. I only ask to be heard.

Tlaib says that she’s ‘choosing peace and truth’ while consorting with known anti-Semites.
If you mention it then, obviously, you’re the bigot because you’re treating her ‘differently’ and not respecting her first-ness… or something.
The hardest part of serving in Congress as a WOC & as a "first" is how people hear you differently. No matter how much we take on the hate & stay true to who we are through our experiences, our voices are shushed and reduced. We aren't perfect, but neither is this institution.

You see, kiddies, it doesn’t matter how anti-Semitic these new Democrat ‘fresh faces’ are, because they’re women of color. Not only that, Tlaib is a Palestinian Muslim which means that she ranks higher on the oppression hierarchy than any Jewish American. The Jewish people are somehow not considered in the top rankings because of their higher levels of education, success, wealth, and becoming leaders in almost all areas of achievement in America, despite thousands of years of oppression, vitriol, and overt racism. Oh, and there was that whole genocide thing in the early 1940s by some German guy. But remember, Tlaib isn’t benefiting from any privilege because she’s now an elected member of Congress — she’s just as oppressed as she’s ever been, and that gives her a free pass to attack groups that are more ‘privileged’ than she is, ie. The Jews. Yeah, that doesn’t sound anti-Semitic at all.
Anti-Israel sentiment and blatant anti-Semitism is nothing new on the Left, but these three ‘fresh faces’ of the Democratic Party, Tlaib, Omar, and Ocasio-Cortez, are attempting to make it mainstream.
I for one say, ‘Hell no!’ I won’t accept that kind of bigotry from elected officials.
How could America best pay tribute to the Media(D)’s newest beloved darling?
Well, we could immortalize her in art.
