Minnesota Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar(D-MN), has been criticized for anti-Semitism in the past. There was a giant red flag when a tweet from 2012 was revealed as she was seeking office.

But, the identity politics crowd is sooooo much more tolerant and can look past a little anti-Semitism in order to stand behind a hijab-wearing Muslim woman running in Minnesota. Rep. Omar supports the BDS movement, which punishes the lone, diverse democracy in the Middle East.
She seems to have not learned a darned thing, though. It’s like she can’t stop being anti-Semitic. In mid-2018, she spoke about Israel being an ‘apartheid regime’.

GOP Leader, Kevin McCarthy, said that the anti-Semitic criticism of Israel could result in Rep. Omar and her CAIR-funded buddy, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, being punished for their reckless and hateful statements.
The latest example of anti-Semitism from Omar was after leftist (and well-known anti-Semite) Glenn Greenwald posted about McCarthy’s threat of punishment.

She was then asked by Forward Magazine editor, Batya Ungar-Sargon who Omar thought was paying American politicians to be pro-Israel. Rep. Omar answered and dug the hole deeper.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) doesn’t contribute money directly to politicians, but members of their group are free to donate, you know, just like members of any other organization in America. For example, CAIR members can support candidates that they like. *cough* Rashida Tlaib *cough*
The damage from her brief tweets about ‘The Jews’ buying loyalty from Republican politicians was done. Omar was lambasted by both sides of the aisle.
Former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat, was quick to call her out on her anti-Semitism.

Oddly, no one from the leadership in the DNC responded to him. One freshman Congressman, Max Rose, who is Jewish did comment, however.
