Most of us have heard Martin Niemöller’s 20th Century quote… ‘First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.’
In today’s America, progressives have leveraged their introduction of political correctness and employing advancement by any means to declare a cultural war on everything decent about America, whether it’s our Constitution, the Rule of Law, The Bible, Religion, and Family.
In every war, it comes down to two opposing forces and ideals. It’s all about divide and conquer, tribalism and lawlessness. United we stand, divided we fall. The division is becoming clear and America’s foundation is shaking. Can’t you see it?
The Progressive left has come out of the shadows, because they smell blood and thus victory for their cause at any cost. They see America at war with itself. A war they have started and continue to fuel. They’re not interested in unity, that’s clear by their actions. Their rhetoric is just that, rhetoric.
So after peeling away at what has made America great, they believe this is their opportunity to finally apprehend the power they so rightfully deserve. It wasn’t that long ago that Lindsay Graham warned them and us about their power ambitions. And just because he pointed out the 800,000-pound gorilla in the room, didn’t mean they were going to go away, now that they were exposed. No! These progressives saw this as an opportunity to come out and really go after what they saw as their primary source of opposition.
People of faith who believe in God, the institutions He established and the country that began with His principles. They are now pulling all stops to come against faith and its believers. What do you think the celebration in New York after passing the most radical abortion bill in our history was really all about? They were going to show God and His people that it’s humanity who controls the US and eventually the world. They don’t need or want God in any way to interfere with their lives as they see it.
It’s all being wrapped up in the Democratic party now being lead by self-acclaimed socialists. The veil has been pulled back and they are who they say they are. Republicans, Independents, even some old guard Democrats, are not welcomed in their tent, which is getting smaller every day. It’s this outcast group that still believes in their God, Bible, The Constitution, their fellow American, the rule of law and all things that advance the cause for real freedom.
Sadly, the Democratic party increasingly sees anything or anyone who stands in their way to power as necessary collateral damage or inconsequential, deplorables, “less-thans,” the forgotten men and women of Main Street, the degraded masses/subjects. The only vision for their America is power, power for the monied elites and their accepted ruling class. So, get out of the way and get over it. Trump be damned, Progressives are marching forward, high step and turned up noses and all.
This is more than anything a spiritual battle in its classic of sense. Progressives target is not the presidency, our government, Congress, the judicial branch…it’s the very soul of our exceptional country. Exceptional because of our founding fathers who believed in God-given freedom more than their very lives, treasure, and honor. Exceptional for the millions of true warriors and vets who have continued to defend this cause for freedom not only in our country, but around the world.
Exceptional for the diverse culture who have assimilated and have advanced this great idea of America. This is what unifies us because of Freedom of Religion, Speech, and Press so we can have a fair shot at our pursuit of Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness. Who wouldn’t want that, right?
Disturbingly, there is an increasing number who want to believe that’s “Old Fashioned” and out of date. President Obama told us, he was going to fundamentally change America. The people cheered, but they had no idea what he was talking about. Fundamentally change America to what?
Were there some things that needed addressing, certainly. And I believe they could have been addressed without shredding our constitution, circumventing the legislative and judicial process. America has been in a crisis ever since because we abandoned core constitutional principles that unite us and keep America getting better, not only for us, but for the world.
No political party in any form invented or grants Freedom, it is God-given. Consider the citizens of so many countries around the world who are oppressed. Their hearts and minds can only dream of Freedom because of their oppressive governments. America for them is that shining light of hope and promise. And at the same time, they see what’s happening in our country and do not understand why we would even consider abandoning our God-given right for the sake of progressive politics, so-called reproductive rights, or any other human-engineered substitute.
I can’t help but feel a bit like Joshua who put forth the proposition of who Israel would serve in the abundant good land God was settling them in. They as we have a choice to serve the god of this political culture who provides you an altar of reproductive rights, abortion, lawlessness, corruption, and chaos. Or, we can choose The God who honored the prayers of Pilgrims who first came to America, our founding fathers who implemented a God-honoring form of Government where we could be free. Where we could be blessed and blessed others, especially Israel.
And now as then, you choose who you will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve The Lord, who blesses us to bless and love others. Peace out.
