Have You Read Beto’s Weird And Violent Musings?

The Left is going to regret opening this Pandora’s box. (Related: Ted Cruz should probably hire a better oppo-research team.)

Mud-slinging has always been a part of American politics. But in recent years, it has become a blood sport. The near-universal excuse of “I was young and dumb” no longer is sufficient to excuse people from becoming a social pariah.

Just ask anyone who watched Judge Kavanaugh explain what ‘boof’ meant in his yearbook. (“That refers to flatulence, we were sixteen. .if you wanna talk about flatulence on a yearbook page when I was sixteen, I’m game.”)

The Left may yet live to regret putting that in play.

The allegedly ‘free’ press — known here on ClashDaily as the Media(D) or the PartisanPress — dropped a cone of silence on a story embarrassing to Robert Francis ‘Bet-zero’ O’Rourke until AFTER the results of his 2018 race against Ted Cruz.

This wasn’t MSNBC or CNN, doing their usual water-carrying for the Democrats, either. This was within the ‘pure as the driven snow press pool’ at REUTERS.

They were aware of him being involved in a digital hacking group as a kid, and squashed not only his involvement but some of what he posted under a known alias.

Did Reuters understand the implication of silencing that story? In their own words [emphais added]:

Arguably, there has been no better time to be an American politician rebelling against business as usual. There is no indication that O’Rourke himself ever engaged in the edgiest sorts of hacking activity – breaking into computers or writing code that enabled others to do so. Still, it’s unclear whether the United States is ready for a presidential contender who, as a teenager, stole long-distance phone service for his dial-up modem, wrote a murder fantasy in which the narrator drives over children on the street, and mused about a society without money.

Would a Republican have been offered the opportunity to have legitimate unflattering stories like that buried? We all know the answer to that, don’t we?

Tucker Carlson read out O’Rourke’s poetry verbatim, the one about a cow doing unspeakable things to his ‘balls’…

…but that ‘charming’ poem isn’t the worst of it. Not even close.

The Drunk-Driving former Congressman had written publicly about his fantasies of vehicular homicide and toppling the government, too, using his pseudonym, of course: Psychadelic Warlord.

One article he wrote as a teen mused how the world would work without money. After changing the system, including the government, O’Rourke foresaw the end of starvation and class distinctions.

“To achieve a money-less society (or have a society where money is heavily de-emphasized) a lot of things would have to change, including government as we know it. This is where the anti-money group and the disciples of Anarchy meet,” O’Rourke wrote under his pseudonym. “I fear we will always have a system of government, one way or another, so we would have to use other means other than totally toppling the government (I don’t think the masses would support such a radical move at this time).”

Another t-file from O’Rourke, written when he was 15, is a short and disturbing piece of fiction. “One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street. They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles…. This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.

“As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two. I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.”

And there’s more from the ‘Feminist hero’:

Late on Friday, Yahoo also reported on more of O’Rourke’s old writings: “Archived versions of writings attributed to O’Rourke’s alias ‘Psychedelic Warlord’ include one that criticized some women as ‘sluts,’ mocked them for having ‘violent boyfriends,’ and suggested a way to deal with these women was to call them ‘completely ugly,’ or inform ‘Nazi Skins in your area’ that they had ‘AIDS.'”

Ah, yes. Not only is Bet-zero the boy who never grew up (as evidenced by his over-acted ‘I’m still young and hip schtick’) but when he WAS a boy, he said all kind of things that would make someone unfit for office.

Murderous intent.

Wanton violence against unsuspecting children.

Sadism.

Toppling government.

On second thought, looking at the 2019 Democratic platform… if it weren’t for the fact that he’s a rich white guy who went to boarding school, he just might be a ‘shoo-in’.
