Olympic Swimmer HAMMERS Men Who ‘Compete’ As Women – Cue The Liberal Rage In 3, 2 and 1!

Uh-oh. One more female athlete is raising the ire of identity politics leftists.
Recently, LGBT rights activist and tennis icon, Martina Navratilova stepped into what she calls a ‘hornet’s nest’ by suggesting that transgender women competing against biological women in sport is ‘cheating’. She has since issued a lengthy apology for the cheating remark but continues to call for a sensitive and scientifically-based discussion on how to protect women’s sport when biological women are now competing against biological men.
The controversy flared up again with a tweet that was posted by a former British swimmer, Sharron Davies on Friday. The 56-year old ex-Olympian and two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist raised all sorts of hackles with her tweet.
I have nothing against anyone who wishes 2be transgender. However I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex u r born with & the gender u may identify as. To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able 2compete in women’s sport

The left parsed her language and criticized her word choices as ‘transphobic’, but Davies, just like Navratilova, was clear that she’s really just trying to have a reasonable discussion on how to be respectful of individuals that are transgender while protecting women’s sport.
I’m so pleased we are debating transgender in sport, for all parties concerned..But important not to get abusive to any group of individuals. We all have a right to our opinions & respect from others but females athletes also have a right to a level playing field #FairPlay

Wishing to transition.. would have been better words. But I think you all know I’m not trying to be offensive just raise debate & find a fair pathway forward. I realise transgender is not a choice & probably a tough journey https://t.co/n2n3StueXR

In order to ‘protect women’s sport’, transgender athletes ‘with a male sex advantage’ cannot take part in female competitions, according to ex-olympic swimmer Sharron Davies.
The two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist said she knows ‘many other female athletes who feel the same way’.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Davies, 56, said ‘it is not a transphobic thing.’
Davies says that she and Navratilova aren’t alone in their concerns.
‘Every single woman athlete I’ve spoken to, and I have spoken to many, all of my friends in international sports, understand and feel the same way as me,’ she told the BBC.
‘Unfortunately, a lot of people who are in the races [now] are in a very difficult predicament when they can’t speak out.
‘It maybe falls to the people who were competing [in the past] who would understand the predicament that is being faced at the moment to try to create a debate, and try to explain how we feel there needs to be a fair and level playing field.’
Davies called for a defined set of rules that ‘everybody agrees with’.

Davies also posted a few follow-up tweets and retweets about biological men competing against women and breaking records.
I’m sorry but this is a prime example of why it’s unfair female born athletes have to compete with male born transgender women. And in some sports it could be truly dangerous – such as combat sports #FairPlay pic.twitter.com/XTjpiLTt3t

Please please take a look & tell me how this is not going to negatively effect women’s sport?! @iocmedia #transgender pic.twitter.com/fC1Fap8Hlv

These are real questions that need to be answered or the women’s category in every sport will become completely meaningless.
Biology and sex differences are real things that we need to be able to discuss without being called ‘transphobic’. Scholarships, championships, and athletic records are on the line.
Protecting sports for our girls is worth fighting for.
