Carter remains Obama’s faint hope shot at avoiding the indignity of being the most hopeless president in modern US history. And this was one more weight in the scales in Carter’s favor for that ‘dignity’.
Once again, Jimmy Carter showing himself to be the Forrest Gump of American Presidents… at least as far as the ‘I am not a smart man’ aspect goes, anyway.
There was once a tradition of elected presidents finishing their term, shutting up and retiring quietly to private life so the next guy could do his job.
That all changed when an ‘outsider’ horrified them all by breaking into their club to become the 45th President. Even Dubya — who quietly endured the endless blame and calumnies Obama heaped upon him while Obama blew through many of the guardrails in the Constitution — felt obliged to dump on Trump.
And Obama had a creepy practice of shadowing his successor’s international travel; speaking to foreign leaders either before or after a Trump visit.
But Jimmy Carter has just topped them all. Despite the Mueller Report explicitly stating that they had found no evidence of criminal cooperation between Russia and ANY American citizen, which, in a country whose justice system rests on a presumption of innocence and requiring proof of guilt is the same as full vindication, doddering Carter has donned his tinfoil hat and is promulgating the left’s tired conspiracy theories.

Even OBAMA didn’t suggest that the Russians rigged the election outcome.
Former President Jimmy Carter said Friday that he believes President Trump only won the 2016 election because Russia interfered to help him defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
“There’s no doubt that the Russians did interfere in the elections and I think the interference, although not yet quantified, if fully investigated would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016,” Carter said at an event in Leesburg, Va.
“He lost the election and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf,” Carter said.
When asked by moderator and historian Jon Meacham if he believed Trump was then an “illegitimate” president, Carter replied: “Based on what I just said, which I can’t retract.”
Forget the fact that we now know that Big Tech already did far more to tilt that election the OTHER way than ANY Russians did to tilt it toward Trump. And they have pledged to work even harder to rig 2020.
Forget the fact that Carter has tried to call Hamas a ‘legitimate political actor’.
