Remember when he had ‘nothing more to say’ about the matter? Well, Congress has questions.
Schiff, Nadler and company have their obvious axes to grind, but they aren’t the only ones who would like to see Mueller answer a few questions under oath.
Let’s begin with the Democrats’ explanation of what they hope to accomplish:
“Americans have demanded to hear directly from the Special Counsel,” the statement said, “so they can understand what he and his team examined, uncovered, and determined about Russia’s attack on our democracy, the Trump campaign’s acceptance and use of that help, and President Trump and his associates’ obstruction of the investigation into that attack.”
The chairmen suggested in a letter to Mueller on Tuesday accompanying the subpoena that they understand that he may limit what he plans to share with lawmakers, with Schiff and Nadler writing that they know “there are certain sensitivities associated with your open testimony.”
…Congress did not feel it sufficient to rely only on a written report without the ability to ask follow-up questions, he said, and believed that it was appropriate for the House to flesh out questions.
“It seemed like such an obvious step, from my own point of view, if you’re going accept the role as special counsel in one of the most significant investigations in modern history, you’re going to have to expect that you’re going to be asked to come to testify before Congress,” Schiff said.
But Adam “more-than-circumstantial-evidence-of-Russian-Collusion” Shiff shouldn’t pop any champagne corks too quickly. After all, Democrats won’t be the only one with questions that need answers. And some of those questions may take us to places the Dems will NOT want us to go.
Oh, yeah… we’ve got questions, alright. Questions that might FINALLY get answers.
Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) is warning Robert Mueller that he “better be prepared” for the Republican cross-examination that will occur during the July 17 House Judiciary and Intelligence Committee hearings.
“It is not a good day for America, but Bob Mueller better be prepared because I can tell you, he will be cross-examined for the first time and the American people will start to see the flaws in his report,” said Meadows while speaking to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham last night.
…Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told Fox News’ Shannon Bream last night that Republicans have many questions for Mueller surrounding the Democratic bias within the special counsel team.
“We have legitimate questions about how all these people ended up on the Mueller team that had a history of donating financially to Democrats and there didn’t seem to be sufficient balance,” said Gaetz.
The congressman said he wants to ask Mueller about why former FBI special agent Peter Strzok and attorney Lisa Page were brought onto the special counsel team in spite of both having worked on the Clinton email probe. “That’s not something you would normally see,” Gaetz said.

The Dems have no idea what a Pandora’s Box they may have unleashed upon people on their OWN side by chasing this ‘Russian Collusion have they?
