The Golden State Warriors won’t have to answer that question ‘will you accept an invitation to the White House’… should Trump turn the tables on them?
They may play in a Canadian city, but the majority of the Toronto Raptors are American citizens. Should that qualify them for an invite to the White House?

And, after all the trolling Curry and Co gave the President, what does second place in the final make Golden State? Here’s a hint:
We gotta admit, the Schadenfreude is delicious.
Not that this editor particularly cares about the NBA outcome either way. I’m far more impressed by the ‘Cinderella story’ of NHL’s Stanley Cup Final only one day earlier.
In hockey, a different group of winners found a way to claw their way back from LAST PLACE out of 31 teams, to man up, and refuse to quit. They made the playoffs. They knocked off good teams that stood in their path. They made it to the final. And they hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup in the decisive seventh game.
What do you think? Should Trump rub some salt in the wound by extending an invite the Raptors? Or should that honor be reserved for champions whose teams are based in the USA?
