Sarah Sanders Stepping Down From PressSec Role — Here’s the 411

Written by Wes Walker on June 14, 2019

Even Mark Levin once called her the best Press Secretary he has ever seen — and now she’s stepping down.

She will continue in the role that made her a household name until the end of June and will step down to take a long-awaited rest. She received only the highest of praise from President Trump for her service within his administration.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders stepped into a thankless and difficult job, a job that unceremoniously chewed up and spit out two of her predecessors.

She was tough, direct and unflappable, even though she was perhaps the first PressSec ever to require a Secret Service detail.

When Jim Acosta started showboating, she slapped him down, putting him in his place, starting from about the 30-second mark:

“I’m not finished.”

She was the target of particular contempt and disdain from the left, including some particularly unprofessional and uncivil personal attacks by the invited ‘comic’ at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

She was run out of a restaurant at a family meal — and the Left celebrated that abuse as ‘heroic’.

Here are a few of the stories that landed her in the news, either for what she said, or for how she was hated by her political rivals in the Media(D):

She was even featured on a Bad Lip Reading video, that was straight up hilarious.

She stood tall in the face of opposition, without flinching, as an inspiration to many young women, including this scribbler’s own young daughter.

Raising Righteous & Rowdy Girls

In ‘Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls’, Doug Giles reinforces the notion that little women don’t need to be pampered by their fathers to turn out right. And having met his beautiful daughters, I know his philosophy works. As a strong-willed woman who thinks her daddy is the greatest guy in the world, I can tell you this is a must-read for every man who hopes to earn the same title. —-S.E.
