Even Mark Levin once called her the best Press Secretary he has ever seen — and now she’s stepping down.
She will continue in the role that made her a household name until the end of June and will step down to take a long-awaited rest. She received only the highest of praise from President Trump for her service within his administration.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders stepped into a thankless and difficult job, a job that unceremoniously chewed up and spit out two of her predecessors.
She was tough, direct and unflappable, even though she was perhaps the first PressSec ever to require a Secret Service detail.
When Jim Acosta started showboating, she slapped him down, putting him in his place, starting from about the 30-second mark:
“I’m not finished.”
She was the target of particular contempt and disdain from the left, including some particularly unprofessional and uncivil personal attacks by the invited ‘comic’ at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
She was run out of a restaurant at a family meal — and the Left celebrated that abuse as ‘heroic’.
