Hey CNN: The DNC Is Going Broke, Is That News?

The Media(D) pounces like a Terrier on a rat on any story they can find that makes Trump look bad. Will they report one that makes Dems look bad?

And if they do report it, will it be reporting a lack of public confidence in the party, or will it be a World-Vision-style appeal for help, with ‘Arms Of An Angel’ quietly playing in the background?

For only the price of a cup of coffee a day, you could save the DNC from insolvency…

That WOULD be the pitch, by the way. Because the DNC going broke IS the problem.

You’d think with all those ‘woke’ celebrities in Hollywood, New York and Silicon Valley, not to mention armies of DC lawyers there would be plenty of money to go around. Especially when they’ve got a lightning rod like Trump to hold up as their ‘boogeyman’.

But no, they’re only interested in taking OTHER peoples’ money for ‘the greater good’.

You can almost smell their desperation in the lead paragraph:

(Bloomberg) — The Democratic National Committee has a money problem. And that could hurt its nominee’s chances of beating President Donald Trump in 2020.

Implied: “Won’t somebody PLEASE stop him from being re-elected!”

In the first four months of 2019, the party spent more than it raised and added $3 million in new debt. In the same period, its Republican counterpart was stockpiling cash.

Democratic donors overall have been generous, pouring three times as much into their party’s presidential and congressional campaigns in the first quarter of the year than Republicans gave to their national office-seekers. But the DNC isn’t benefiting from the same donor enthusiasm, putting at risk its ability to help the nominee take on Trump, donors said.

Whoever wins the party’s nomination will rely heavily on the DNC in the general election for organizing, identifying voters and getting them to the polls. That will ultimately cost hundreds of millions of dollars by election day, but the party needs to spend early to prepare, which is why it’s been borrowing money. It’s also sending out fundraising appeals under the presidential candidates’ names, something it’s never done before.

The one thing Hillary does NOT like to mention about what went ‘wrong’ in her election bid was the death-grip she had on the finances because they were broke.

But right now, everyone is so busy trying to make sure THEIR candidate wins, they are dumping their funds into campaigns where all but one is guaranteed to lose.

Not that we really MIND that happening. There was some of that happening to our side in 2016, as well. Let them all beat up on each other for a while.

We’ll stand back and enjoy the show.

Hey Democrats: big spending is encouraged. Swing for the fences. Try for an upset.

And now that the elimination round has begun (with some candidates failing to qualify for the debates, which will seriously kneecap any hopes they have), the desperation level of candidates trailing in the primaries will only get higher.

Get your popcorn ready.

The Republicans? Oh, they’re doing just fine. “Stockpiling cash” the article said.

Not to say they won’t be wanting more, what with Media and Silicon Valley giving them their own versions of ‘in-kind’ donations, but they’re doing ok so far.
