Something is worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it, nothing more and nothing less.
And in the Christian context, a real understanding of that one ‘little’ detail will smash all kinds of twisted thinking.
It lifts up those who undervalue their own worth, and it completely humbles those who think ‘that person’ or ‘that group’ aren’t quite as good as the rest of us.
“You are not your own, you were bought with a price” suddenly takes on a whole other meaning.
