Of shoes and ships and sealing-wax, of cabbages and kings.” None of those things are in this piece, so if you’re into some of that… ’bye. I want to discuss a few things that are immensely important, but are not getting the attention that they so richly deserve.
Our first attention-getter is so egregious that it surprises me that no one has brought this up. Sea turtles, which are protected here, are being brought to the point of extinction in Costa Rica. One of my readers sent me pictures of groups of people scooping up all the baby sea turtles in huge bags and carting them off… to be sold. What they do with baby sea turtles is beyond me. Certainly, it can’t be for food, those little guys would hardly be a bite for an adult person. If they’re being sold to zoos, eventually the zoos will breed their own. Sea turtles have enough problems when they’re born, just getting to the ocean before they’re picked up by gulls, or whatever else might be eating them. If we protect them, why doesn’t Costa Rica? If we give them any sort of monetary aid, we should stop it until they stop scooping the little ones into bags.
I’m sick to death of celebrities trying to make us think that they are just like us. They are not, unless you happen to be in the very rich category. They don’t want average people to have guns, but you can bet your bippy they have armed security whenever they go anywhere. We’re not supposed to build a wall, but check out where they live, and it will have fences and walls. Our kids pay big tuitions to get into a good school and that’s only if they have the grades! It is, apparently, a custom for celebrities to buy their kids’ way into college. I haven’t heard of any of them going to jail for doing that… have you?
We must have term limits for members of Congress! When it was originally designed, members came to Washington, served their terms and then went home to take care of… whatever needed taking care of. Now we have people that have been in Congress 40 years, but they JUST discovered that something is wrong in the swamp. In their settling-in, members of Congress have discovered that they could vote themselves all sorts of wonderful things! They get special treatment in their own barbershops, a mini-hospital, and, worst of all, they seem to be immune from most, if not all, of the laws that they pass for the rest of us! I do believe that they also get “inside information” on the market, which is illegal for the rest of us!
Hey folks, what’s with us buying “military” goods or parts from a potential enemy? We buy stuff from China, stuff that goes into some of our most sophisticated aircraft, and some of it has been bugged. We are in an economic war with China and, for years they have brazenly stolen our ideas, and we’ve not done anything significant about it. Now, the tide may be turning and if you’re a WalMart person, as I am, you look for the best price on whatever you are buying. I do that, but I will look to see if somebody makes “that” in America. If they do, I’ll buy that. It doesn’t work all the time, but I try. It irks me to see “names” that I associate with being “made in the USA” and find out that they’re not.
Lying seems to come easily to some people. Perhaps you already know to whom I was referring, huh? There is, obviously, an entire half of our country that seems bent on spewing out lie after lie. The Democrat party would seem to have abandoned any sort of pretense that they care anything at all about America. In the recent debates, which were more of a yelling match than a debate, it was made crystal clear that their preferences were for illegal aliens, freebies for everybody, reducing the United States to just a wide spot on the map, with no borders, and importing people that bring diseases that we wiped out and who, eventually, will turn on us and kill us.
Oh, did someone say that it won’t happen here? It will, and it has. We’ve had “honor killings”, beheadings, mass shootings by Muslims and pleadings for Sharia to be instituted in our courts. My mantra, which is direct and to the point, is…” There is NOTHING worthwhile in Islam, and I wouldn’t trust ANY Muslim as far as I could throw a Buick”. A true believer in Islam will never assimilate into our culture, but they will want us to change into THEIR “culture”, which is just one horror after another.
Parting shot: Wake up, America! You’re being invaded, indoctrinated, weakened, and wussified! The next couple of generations are mostly “gimmees”, with no comprehension of the real world, and in for a terrible shock when they come up against reality, because reality BITES! Useful idiots, and you probably know what they are, will always be available to “run the machine”. They won’t know why they’re running it, what they’re making with it, or how to fix it, but they’ll know when their payday comes around.
