Acosta thought he had laid a trap for Trump to stumble into — and promptly found himself caught in the middle of it.
The Showboat ‘Defender of the Press’ who has so much to say about Khashoggi has virtually nothing to say in his timeline about a reporter that was targeted by Antifa — by name — and then hospitalized with a brain bleed in clashes with Antifa after being robbed.
But ACOSTA’S job as a reporter is muy dangerous, don’t you know, he even wrote a book about it, one that tens of people are lining up to have signed.
Showing his commitment to his job of BEING the story rather than reporting it [what Levin’s book calls ‘pseudo-events’] Acosta look for every possible opportunity to throw shade at the President, or get a damning soundbite rather than elicit any actual information. This exchange was no exception.
Except, like so in many of Acosta’s earlier showboating attempts, he showed himself to be the idiot in his tale.
