Congresswomen Omar And Tlaib BANNED From Entering Israel For THIS Reason…

The pair of controversial Democrats will not be able to use the West Bank as their platform. Here’s the 411…

***UPDATE:

Just minutes after publication, the final decision has been made to ban Omar and Tlaib from entering Israel according to Reuters.

END UPDATE***

The Israeli government is considering banning two members of the Freshman “Squad” from entering the country. Rep. Ilhan Omar(D-MN) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib(D-MI), are set to travel to the West Bank next week. Omar and Tlaib are both Muslim and have been outspoken supporters of Palestine and the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestmentment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. In addition, Rep. Omar has been repeatedly criticized for using anti-Semitic language on social media but has faced no censure from the Democrat Party.

The tour of the West Bank that they were planning on taking was largely to highlight the “Palestinian grievances over the Israeli occupation.”

Tlaib is an American citizen of Palestinian descent and was planning on visiting family in the West Bank.

Ms. Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, and Ms. Tlaib, a Michigan Democrat, were scheduled to arrive on Sunday for a tour of the West Bank, partly under the auspices of an organization headed by a longtime Palestinian lawmaker, Hanan Ashrawi, that was expected to highlight Palestinian grievances over the Israeli occupation.

The women were planning to visit the West Bank cities of Hebron, Ramallah and Bethlehem, as well as Israeli-annexed East Jerusalem, including a visit to the Al Aqsa Mosque, a hotly contested and volatile holy site, according to a person familiar with the rough schedule who could spoke on condition of anonymity. Most of the delegation was expected to depart on Aug. 22, but Ms. Tlaib had been planning to stay on to visit relatives in the West Bank.

In 2017, the Knesset had passed an anti-BDS law that banned foreign BDS activists from entering the country. The law has been sporadically implemented.

Last month, Israeli ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, said that Israel would not deny entry to any member of Congress despite the law. However, that no longer seems to be the case.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top Israeli officials are meeting to “reconsider” allowing the Congresswomen from visiting the West Bank.

An Israeli official said they were meeting about an upcoming visit by Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. The newly-elected Muslim members of Congress are outspoken critics of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. Tlaib’s family immigrated to the United States from the West Bank.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, said “there is a possibility that Israel will not allow the visit in its current proposed format.”

President Trump weighed in on Twitter:

Last month, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and Rep. John Lewis(D-GA) co-sponsored House Resolution 496 which was designed to support the anti-Israel BDS movement while couching it as a free speech issue.

The Associated Press article slams President Trump for his “racist” tweets against Omar and Tlaib, as well as castigating Republicans for amplifying the voices of Tlaib and Omar to “present the party as deeply divided and at odds with Israel.”

The pro-BDS resolution from Reps. Omar, Tlaib, and Lewis came after an anti-BDS resolution passed with overwhelming bipartisan support. The vote was 398-17.  Guess who 3 of those 17 were…

A decision to ban the congresswomen could further sharpen divisions among U.S. Democrats over Israel ahead of the 2020 elections. Republicans have amplified the views of left-wing Democrats like Tlaib and Omar to present the party as deeply divided and at odds with Israel. Democratic leaders have pushed back, reiterating the party’s strong support for Israel, in part to protect representatives from more conservative districts.

In July, the Democratic-led House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution against the BDS movement.

As it stands now, Israel isn’t so keen on the pair of pro-BDS Squad members heading to the West Bank and using the visit to promote anti-Israel propaganda, but there is an option to allow Tlaib to visit her family in the West Bank as a “special humanitarian gesture” but that would exclude Omar, according to the New York Daily News. It’s unclear if Tlaib would accept the offer, anyway.

Here are some reactions on Twitter:

Let’s remember that some of these BDS folks are really, really horrible people. They sometimes have ties to terror groups.

It’s clear that this is a no-win situation for Israel. They could allow the anti-Israeli duo into the country and allow them to spread their divisive rhetoric using the West Bank as their platform, or they could ban them and lose some credibility as a reasonable, free democracy in the Middle East. In addition, if a ban is the final decision, Trump’s tweet supporting that position will make Israel appear to be a “puppet” of the United States.

Whatever happens, Israel will be lambasted in the Media(D) for even considering a ban on a pair of very controversial Congresswomen.

***CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated that the House Resolution proposed by Rep. Ilhan Omar(D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib(D-MI), and Rep. John Lewis(D-GA) in support of the BDS movement passed with “overwhelming support” but that is incorrect. The resolution that passed with overwhelming bipartisan support was the anti-BDS motion. The correction has been made. The author regrets the mistake and takes full responsibility for the error. -KW***

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.

But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:

“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.

Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
