IT’S WORKING: Monthly Border Jumping Numbers Started Dropping In July

The help Democrats were unwilling to offer is coming from other directions.

As it’s becoming increasingly clear, the Democrats no longer make distinctions between lawful entry and illegal entry into the country. And because of that thinking, they see ALL foreigners as legal immigrants. Period, full stop.

We’ve gone into the reasons elsewhere, but they are no longer opposed to the sort of illegal immigration that one Senator Obama once spoke out against.

They opposed means that would make the border more secure, and have bullied banks who loaned money for the building of holding facilities… while simultaneously complaining about overcrowded conditions.

So Trump went looking elsewhere.

He got concessions from Mexico — they have started protecting THEIR southern border and turning away would be US arrivals. They’ve also started arresting people on our shared border.

He’s gotten concessions from Guatemala, too. They have agreed to ‘safe third country status’, meaning would-be American immigrants won’t be permitted to just march across the country en route to the Promised Land seeking ‘asylum’.

Put those together with the building/rebuilding of the physical border security wall and the active deportations of those who have no right to be here and the result we are seeing is a drop in border crossings.

Don’t misunderstand — this doesn’t change the fact that numbers are still ‘at crisis levels’. It only means that the numbers are finally moving in the right direction… no thanks to the Democrats.

The number of apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border dropped another 21% in July to just over 82,000 people, according to new Customs and Border Protection reports, but the situation still remains at a “crisis level,” Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of Citizenship and Immigration Services, said Friday.

“There are some basic facts that are hard to escape, and you mentioned just while this last month’s numbers are an improvement, they are still crisis level,” Cuccinelli told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.” “Eighty-two thousand people coming across that southern border exceeds any month for years, except for the last four months, so we still have a lot of work to do.”

The Trump administration has been asking Congress for months to close asylum loopholes, Cuccinelli said, but Democrats have taken “zero action,” and the problem will not be solved until action is taken.

The acting director gave President Donald Trump credit for the drop, saying it happened because he kept his promises on immigration, including dealing with Mexico and getting cooperation that has never happened before.

“They are patrolling their own southern border more vigorously than before,” said Cuccinelli, adding a cooperation deal with Guatemala might also help bring the numbers down more.

So much for that line we were all pitched by the complicit media about the ‘manufactured’ crisis in the New Year, eh?
