Saturday, the news flash: convicted and accused pedophile to the stars Jeffrey Epstein, dead by suicide in a New York federal jail. Immediately the firestorms. Immediately the conspiracy theories. How could it have possibly been suicide? No way! It must have been a hit to protect elites implicated in Epstein’s crimes!
It’s worth keeping in mind, Epstein’s death does not shield his co-conspirators from being investigated.
Now comes a tweet from the President implicating the Clintons in Epstein’s death.
On the one hand, it would be far better for the Chief Law Enforcement officer to refrain from comment, thus allowing the rule of law to prevail instead of the rule of hysteria and rumor. (We suffer from an abundance of both from all sides in every direction.) On the other hand, think about your first reaction to the news of Epstein’s death. Most people probably thought the following: no way it was suicide, and if murder, by whom, to what end? Didn’t the name Clinton come to mind?
One problem with the President’s tweet: down the road, if the Clintons are charged, their lawyers can easily claim there is no venue on earth where they can receive a fair trial given the President’s accusation.
Concurrently, some Trump Haters float the theory Trump is behind Epstein’s death since Trump has been implicated as a visitor to Pleasure Island.
Just as we have no hard evidence yet on the Clintons as to their behaviors on Pleasure Island, we have no evidence Trump ever visited the island. There is evidence he had a falling out with Epstein and helped law enforcement in the prior investigation leading to Epstein’s conviction.
Still and all, is it disappointing the President chose to pounce and pontificate. In a time of turmoil comparable to the Civil War in many respects, it would be much better if the Chief Executive exemplified a measure of restraint and decorum. He can champion America First without descending to the level of the Clintons. Lest we forget, the Clintons and the Obamas have issued a few zingers in their time, implicating others in dastardly deeds.
Context is important. In this 2nd American Civil War, the Clinton/Obama cabal is the sworn enemy of Trump. That cabal will do anything to destroy him. This is a fight to the finish for the survival of the Republic, no over-statement. Given the power of the forces arrayed against Trump, he has made the calculation the gloves must come off.
No matter how you slice it, the depravity launched in the 60s and spread by the Clintons and Trump in the 80s and 90s is now a full-blown epidemic spread throughout the culture, a mess only the Most High can clean up. The compound tragedy is pedophiles still prey on children while most everyone is preoccupied with political drama. Judgment will come, one way or the other.
