Remember when Trump promised ‘so much winning’? Chalk this up in the ‘Promises Kept’ column.
There were a few key promises that Trump built his successful election run around that, taken together, became his “America First” MAGA agenda.
The economy was obviously key for a career businessman.
National security and ‘build that wall’ were obviously central.
But just as central to those promises was Trump’s promise to ‘Bomb the S**t’ out of ISIS.
He saw those ‘javee teams’ of Islamic terrorists as a global menace that needed to be humiliated on a global level.
What better way to send that message than taking out the heir (and son) of history’s most infamous jihadi leader? This son had been ‘cultivated’ to take OBL’s mantle by none other than Osama himself.
Instead of striking some ‘great blow’ against his hated foe in the West, he has become just another in a long line of feral dogs put down by the US military and our allies.
“Hamza bin Laden, the high-ranking al-Qaeda member and son of Osama bin Laden, was killed in a United States counterterrorism operation in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region,” Trump said in a brief statement issued by the White House.
“The loss of Hamza bin Laden not only deprives Al-Qaeda of important leadership skills and the symbolic connection to his father, but undermines important operational activities of the group.”
