Kamala Harris Desperately Tries To Backpedal After ‘Retarded’ Snafu On Campaign Stop

She’s trying to deny it, but the video evidence is indisputable.

How much has the world changed in a generation? We live in a world where a politician has to apologize to people with mental disabilities for comparing them to the duly-elected President of the United States.

Sure, we can agree that it’s douche-y to make fun of people with mental disabilities. But that shouldn’t need an asterisk.

It shouldn’t be ‘sorry for comparing you all to THAT guy’.

But… here she is doing exactly that.

First, we have the clip of what she denies doing in the first place — laughing and agreeing (‘well said’) when a Dem supporter calls Trump and/or his administration ‘Mentally Retarded’.

In an interview after the fact, she realizes she’s dug herself into a hole and she has to dig herself back out of it. (Clicking through to the tweet will bring you to the original video.)

Transcript from the exchange:

KAMALA: ‘It’s an incredibly offensive term, and as someone who has a longstanding relationship with advocacy for our disability community … [mentions political pitch] … it’s offensive and you would think in the year 2019 people would have a much better understanding of how hurtful a term like that can be … [goes into a brief virtue-signaling diatribe about the history of the term] …

CBS REPORTER @CHUEYBURNS: You didn’t correct him, though. Did you (pause) hear him?

KAMALA: I heard him talk about the other stuff and then that came later and it was not something that I really (pause) heard or processed — um — (longer pause) or in any way condoned.

Look back at the footage of the actual statement…

Do you buy it? Really?

Or is it just another of Kamala’s lies?

Even her own FATHER has been calling her out on the nonsense she’s been spouting:
