Kanye West Hosts ‘Sunday Services’ To Promote FAITH In GOD — No, This Is Not Satire

Did you know that Kanye has recently come to Christ? Don’t wait for the punchline-follow up. There isn’t one.

When Kim was on the View earlier this month, the topic came up…

“Kanye started this to really heal himself and it was a really personal thing, and it was just friends and family,” Kardashian West told host Sunny Hostin who asked about the Sunday Service events. “He has had an amazing evolution of being born again and being saved by Christ.”

“People always ask, ‘What are you worshiping?’ It is a Christian service, like a musical ministry. They talk about Jesus and God,” she said.

When asked if preachers are included, the new prison reform activist said “sometimes.”

She added: “When he goes to another church, which he has, they’ve shown up and done these surprise little pop-up Sunday Services in other churches. Sometimes, at the [meeting] in Calabasas, he’ll have friends that are pastors that are in town get up and speak. But for the most part, it’s just a musical ministry.”

On that topic, Kanye is hosting a free Sunday service at Robbie Powwow Garden outside the museum at The Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

It isn’t a concert. It really is a Sunday service. And it’s something he’s been doing around the country.

The gospel service has featured West offering moralistic lessons interlaced with spiritual guidance. Promoting faith in God seems to be the main purpose behind the event, as he preached the need to perform “radical obedience” to Jesus.

The rapper-turned-preacher has played music from his own collection and from other artists at these events.

At a recent Sunday Service in Atlanta, West was also accompanied by a live band on stage but Meyer said he was told there will be minimal instrumentation at the Sunday event..

Doors will open at 11 a.m. for the event. No bags or coolers will be allowed in or alcohol.

Kanye has taken his share of heat from us. And we’re not expecting a new Christian to have it all figured out right away. But good for him in taking a bold stand for the faith he’s professed.

It stands as an invitation to other Christians to be as bold in our own faith.

Rules For Radical Christians is not a survival devotional designed to help the young Christian adult limp through life. Rather, it is a road-tested, dominion blueprint that will equip the young adult with leadership skills and sufficient motivation to rise to a place of influence in an overtly non-Christian culture. Rules For Radical Christians gives the reader the keys to become strategically equipped to move into an anti-theistic environment and effectively influence it for the glory of God.
