Mexico’s Crackdown Brings HUGE Drop In Illegal US Border Crossings… Thanks For Nothing, Pelosi!

Mexico is more committed to securing our border than certain lawmakers in Congress, welcome to the political madhouse that defines 2019. Border crossings are down… a LOT.

How much is ‘a lot’?

How’s 56%?

And, contrary to what Democrats might tell you, this is a REALLY good thing. Why?

Because the Criminal Cartels — the ones who are wreaking havoc among the decent and law-abiding people of Mexico — make a KILLING by trafficking people over the border. They even traffic children for the purpose of posing as fake family members that weepy Democrats tell us we shouldn’t break up. (Something like one-third of children are non-relatives.)

Why are Democrats encouraging child-trafficking and deliberately enriching the criminal cartels that make living on BOTH sides of the US-Mexico border far more dangerous?

We can only conclude that it’s because they crave power more than they care about the lives their policies actually destroy.

Let’s look at the latest numbers:

Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, citing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, said at a news conference that the number of illegal immigrants apprehended in August was 63,989, which is down from 144,266 in May. The numbers also included people who presented themselves at U.S. ports of entry and were deemed inadmissible.

In June, the United States and Mexico reached a deal to that would see an expanded implementation of the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), commonly known as the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and increased security at the southern border. This deal came about after Trump threatened Mexico with imposing a 5 percent important tariff on all goods coming from Mexico if the country did not take action to tackle the influx of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border. The tariff would have increased every month until it reached 25 percent.

Ebrard is now scheduled to meet with U.S. officials at the White House to review the progress.

“We’re showing that the strategy that Mexico put forward has been successful,” Ebrard said. “I don’t expect a tariff threat Tuesday because it wouldn’t make sense.”

Since the deal was made, Mexico had ramped up its security at its southern border. It has also deployed 21,600 police officers and National Guard troops across the nation. Ebrard said there had been seven formal complaints of human rights violations involving the National Guard, a relatively low number which he saw as another sign of success.

And what sort of people ARE being apprehended crossing illegally?

People like these: a pregnant woman and two grown men lying about their national orgin and claiming to be minors. You guessed it… they were ‘coached’ with what they were supposed to say.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Yuma Station agents discovered footprints along the U.S./Mexico International Boundary before spotting two subjects west of Avenue B near County 24th Street. Agents arrived on scene to find two individuals in the U.S. illegally, a pregnant woman and a man claiming to be a minor.

The woman showed signs of dehydration and was first given assistance by the agents while emergency medical services were called in for medical support and transport. She was taken by ambulance to the Yuma Regional Medical Center for further care before being released into Border Patrol custody.

The second subject initially claimed to be a 17-year-old Guatemalan national, but agents discovered he was actually a 24-year-old Mexican national. The man reported to agents a human smuggler told him to make the fraudulent claim. He was advised representing himself as an unaccompanied child from Guatemala would ensure his release into the United Stated by law enforcement. Both subjects were processed for immigration violations.
