Just yesterday, they had their knives out, demanding full transparency and that Trump provides transcripts of the July 25th Phone Call. Now they want more.
When CNN first released the story about the so-called whistleblower, even THEY admitted that the complainant had ZERO direct knowledge of the matter. (We normally call such ‘evidence’ hearsay, and dismiss it.)
But it blew up into a very big Orange Man Bad story that ended with demands for Trump to clear the air by proving his innocence. Just show us the transcripts, they said.
Forget any separation of powers issues.
Forget the fact that that Congress itself is not subject to FOIA requests.
Forget that having private conversations between national leaders open to public view could undermine their very ability to speak frankly about real issues.
None of those are as important as the white-hot burning desire to make the ‘nightmare’ of a free and fair election in 2016 as though they had never happened.
So, naturally, Pelosi and Co will continue to move the goalposts.
They don’t want the truth, they want a dog and pony show they can use to damage Trump. They don’t DARE lose to him a second time.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Tuesday that Democrats would not back off from an impeachment probe of President Donald Trump despite his tweet that he will release a transcript of his telephone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday.
“No,” Pelosi said at The Atlantic Festival, sponsored by The Atlantic magazine, in Washington, when asked by Editor-in-Chief Mark Goldberg. “It’s not about that. This is about the Constitution of the United States.”
…But Pelosi said at the Atlantic event that any impeachment probe was “not about politics.”“If the president brings up, wants them to investigate something about his political opponent, that is self-evident that it is not right,” the speaker said. “You don’t ask foreign governments to help us in our election.
“That’s what we’re trying to stop with Russia. It’s wrong.
“So, it’s not only about how to make decisions about our foreign policy and our global futility, it’s about undermining the integrity of our elections,” she said.

Oh really?
The ‘Steele Dossier’ was literally the handiwork of a foreign spy who tapped Russian sources for dirt against Trump… on Hillary Clinton’s dime.
What about Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff? When Russian pranksters pretended to be Ukrainians with ‘dirt’ on Trump, did he object? Not at all. He was on it like a dog on a steak.
Nothing about these people is honest and true… so why should we take any of it seriously?
