No MORE FAKE NEWS: Trump Cancels Federal Subscriptions to NYT and WaPo

Leftists will cry foul, naturally, but does this make sense?

These ‘news’ outlets aren’t merely holding a government’s to the fire, they are actively cooperating with the Resistance Left in advancing their half-truths, innuendo and outright lies.

The NYT editor had egg on his face over a leaked conversation where he admitted that Mueller didn’t get the outcome they figured it would, and the next two years would run most of their stories through a Trump-is-racist filter.

If they’ve declared war on the head of the Executive Branch, and many of his inner circle, why should that same Executive branch fund the Dead Tree news that’s so Hellbent on destroying him?

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday, Trump said he didn’t want either paper available on the White House grounds.

“The New York Times is a fake newspaper. We don’t even want it in the White House anymore. We’re going to probably terminate that and the Washington Post. They’re fake,” Trump said, adding that he’d heard he’s received worse media coverage than any president besides Abraham Lincoln. “They say he got the worst press of anybody. I say I dispute it.”

WaPo and NYTimes still give free digital subscriptions to anyone with a valid .gov or .mil address, but so far as the dead tree versions, they are soon going to be as scarce as original thoughts on the cable news networks.

This doesn’t make ALL news verboten or even all left-leaning news.

Other dead-tree newspapers will still be delivered. But none of them will have the NYT or WaPo masthead.

Does that seem ‘extreme’ to you? Or does it make perfect sense to have a policy of not PAYING people hellbent on your personal destruction?
