Democrats should have thought twice about the road they are leading us down. But now it’s too late.
When Democrats were aggressively kicking Shifty’s Soviet Showtrial into high gear, they buttressed their position with the claim that was ‘supported by the majority of the public’.
That claim was rooted in — would you believe — a Fox poll that suggested more than 50% of Americans were in support of what the Dems were up to.
It was only upon closer examination that critics realized that poll was compromised by an over-sampling of Democrat voters.
Here’s what the ACTUAL numbers look like.
A USA TODAY/Suffolk poll states 36 percent of respondents support the House voting to remove the president, while 22 percent say Congress should continue with its impeachment inquiry but should not vote to remove him. Further, 37 percent say lawmakers should end their impeachment probe, while four percent remain undecided on the matter. When it comes to a Senate impeachment trial, 46 percent are in favor of convicting President Trump and 47 percent are against.
…The USA TODAY/Suffolk poll is the second survey in recent days showing a considerable number of Americans are against impeaching President Trump. According to an NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll published on Friday, Americans are split down party lines on whether to oust the president. Forty-nine percent believe he should be impeached and removed from office, 49 percent oppose the move.

There was something ELSE wrong with that over-sampled poll, too. Did you pick up on it?
The public is privy to all the hostile anti-Trump leaks the Democrats are ginning up, but they are denied any counter-evidence that would put those leaks in their proper context, allowing the exonerating evidence to stand beside the (Dems hope) damning evidence.
How can the public make an INFORMED vote when one side is curating all the information?
Isn’t that the sort of tactic we would expect from a Soviet-Era dictatorship? They pull off propaganda stunts like this and they DARE to point the accusing finger of ‘tyranny’ at their political rivals?
Have they no shame? Actually — we already know the answer to that question.
After the ‘parody’ sketch Shifty opened the process with, we knew pretty quickly that this show was more interested in moving the PR needle, and using the Constitutional process as a weapon with which to damage the President in the court of public opinion DURING an election cycle.
If Republicans were doing this to a Democrat in the 3rd year of his presidency, the other side would be screaming bloody murder.
