Wouldn’t you rather see Shiff using his oversight role for looking into questions like this one instead of tilting at impeachment windmills?
Where’s little Jimmy Acosta rushing to the defense of journalists and the First Amendment on this story?
You know the name. He’s been WAY ahead of the game in knowing what really happened in the Spygate scandal from day one. He and a handful of others have been far more deserving of a Pulitzer than any debunked Russian Collusion hustlers ever were.
And now it seems that he, himself, may have been one of the targets of the unlawful misuse of government resources. Unlawful, that is, unless there was some reasonable justification for government resources looking into John Solomon and other journalists.
Hannity said he had three different people reporting to him that they believe government resources were used to monitor communications of certain people, including Solomon.
Nunes said he had heard about ‘strange requests… irregular requests to monitor not just one journalist, but multiple journalists’. He doesn’t have answers yet about whether such requests had justification, but he will be looking into it.
John Solomon himself was on the same segment and said he had been contacted by multiple IC contacts telling him there may have been some ‘inappropriate monitoring of my communications’ with government resources.
“It’s chilling to think that my communications in Ukraine may have been monitored.”
Ukraine? That would be right about when John Solomon was digging into the Burisma Corruption story and pulling up original documents. What possible justification would ‘deep state’ resources have for keeping tabs on what exactly he was digging up?
How far down does this rabbit hole go?
Why is Ukraine an interesting case? Because this wouldn’t be the first time there was a Ukraine connection where ‘deep state’ resources have been busted running interference against the Trump administration.
Ambassador Yovanovich is a noted Trump-hater who blocked Ukrainian officials from traveling to the United States to hand over evidence of Obama misconduct during the 2016 election to President Trump.
Yovanovich was US ambassador to Ukraine during the 2016 election when the Ukrainian government was colluding with the DNC and Hillary Campaign to undermine the US presidential election.
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenkoko told journalists in March that Yovanovitch gave him a “do not prosecute” list during their first meeting.
The president ordered her removal from her post in Ukraine in May 2019.
She was openly anti-Trump.
Starting in 2018 Yovanovich denied Ukrainian officials visas to enter the United States to hand over evidence of Obama administration misconduct to Trump administration officials.

Fun fact… remember those texts Schiff was holding up as evidence that Trump wanted a quid pro quo? The guy who injected that phrase into the conversation just happened to be the #2 to this same Yovanovich. This text would have been AFTER Schiff’s staffer flew to Ukraine.
Is THAT an interesting detail for which you’d like to see some answers?
Every day, this looks more and more like an orchestrated coup. But go ahead and keep telling us what a threat TRUMP is to our vaunted democratic institutions.
Something tells me nobody was ‘keeping tabs’ on reliable Clinton stooge Maggie Haberman or Trump loathing pseudo-conservative David Frum in the same way.
