Cali Woman Charged With Murder For Delivering Stillborn With Toxic Drug Levels — But It’s ‘Not A Baby’

This is going to get the “My Body, My Choice” people very, very upset.

Is it ok for a woman to choose meth instead of her unborn baby?

Wouldn’t the pro-abortion peeps be totally cool with that?

Wouldn’t they say that it’s “her body, her choice”?

Or would they be rightly horrified as any reasonable person would be with this story?

The decision to arrest and charge a mom with murder after her stillborn baby was found to have toxic levels of methamphetamine in its system is a move towards acknowledging the value of unborn children.

Chelsea Cheyenne Becker, 25, admitted to using meth all the way through her pregnancy up until just a few days before birth. The baby was born on September 10 but was stillborn. It was ruled a homicide when the autopsy conducted by the Kings County Coroner’s Office found high levels of methamphetamine in the baby’s system. Interestingly, Becker was arrested and charged with First-Degree murder for the baby’s death.

Police arrested Becker on Tuesday night on a felony charge of first-degree murder and booked into the Kings County Jail in Hanford Wednesday with bail set at $5 million. She pleaded not guilty to the charges according to CNN.

‘The levels of methamphetamine in this baby’s system were such high levels, even for an adult, so we believe that she was using almost the entire time that she was pregnant,’ Detective Sgt. Justin Vallin of the Hanford Police Department told KGPE.

Three of Becker’s other children were also born with meth in their system and she has lost custody of several children due to her substance abuse problem.

Becker’s aunt, Julie Lance, adopted her three-year-old son and currently has custody of her one-year-old. He eldest child, a four-year-old has been adopted.

Her cousin, Terra Ordonez, said that she was hoping that Becker will recover from this low.

‘I’m excited for her to straighten up and get clean because I know she’s smart enough to get out of it,’ Ordonez said. ‘It’s an eye-opener for a lot of women who are struggling. If you’re pregnant, scream for help.’

This is going to be an interesting one to watch.

Even more interesting is to see what the “My Body, My Choice” crowd has to say about it.
