Tired of the partisan press and their defamation tactics, Republicans are going on offense.
Better late than never, Republicans have identified the partisan press as a bully to be challenged, not a tyrant to be feared.
Nobody has been keeping them honest, and calling them to account. They’ve faced no consequences for their bogus attacks in times past. So the media got cocky. And sloppy.
They’ve been caught with their hands in the cookie jar… and it could cost them.
It’s a bad idea for media to rely on peddled hearsay of an indicted criminal defendant laundered through his attorney to curry favor. Devin is a strong man & patriot w/a backbone & he’s got the goods here. This won’t end well for those trying to launch this failure of a takedown. pic.twitter.com/D3VccFUGoP

The days of Media(D) being safe from lawsuits are over.
The Covington Kids are having their case proceed.
Sarah Palin had her case proceed.
And now, after Thanksgiving, Nunes will be proceeding with a defamation case.
The media know how much power they can wield in swinging public opinion. In fact they’ve been counting on it.
But like any other dishonest use of power, it will eventually end badly for the corrupt guys holding the levers of power. It’s only a question of time.
With media bias so very naked, with CNN getting caught with their 9 am Anti-Trump Zucker meetings, with NYTimes caught planning anti-Trump narratives 2 years in advance, together with upwards of 90% negative coverage, talking head Impeachment joygasms, and obvious lockstep messaging between ‘competing’ networks corrupt intent on the media’s part will not be a difficult thing to prove.
And wouldn’t a court win like that make for an interesting vindication of Trump’s Fake News narrative?
Things are just now getting interesting.
It’s gotta be a helluva year for a Democrat 2020 wannabe, what with literally everything ELSE being a more compelling story than that collection of wet dishrags who are so desperate for our interest and attention.
Trump isn’t really running against them anyway… their nominee is incidental.
He’s *really* running against the media… and their ‘champion.
And we all know it.
How was Nunes slandered?
TownHall has a good summary of what happened. Here is a portion of that article (at this point, citing Breibart):
House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced Friday night that he is filing a lawsuit against CNN over a report that they published the same evening that alleged an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani was willing to testify to Congress that Nunes met with a former Ukrainian prosecutor last year to discuss digging up dirt on former Vice President and current Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Nunes also plans to sue The Daily Beast for a story that it published earlier in the week that alleged that Parnas helped Nunes set up numerous meetings regarding Ukraine.
In an exclusive statement provided to Breitbart News, Nunes said: “These demonstrably false and scandalous stories published by the Daily Beast and CNN are the perfect example of defamation and reckless disregard for the truth. Some political operative offered these fake stories to at least five different media outlets before finding someone irresponsible enough to publish them. I look forward to prosecuting these cases, including the media outlets, as well as the sources of their fake stories, to the fullest extent of the law. I intend to hold the Daily Beast and CNN accountable for their actions. They will find themselves in court soon after Thanksgiving.”
