Democrats Open Pandora’s Box

According to Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman created by the gods. Zeus. According to the myth, Pandora opened a jar or a box releasing all the evils that visit humanity like pain and suffering, leaving only hope inside once she had closed it again.

The Democrats, on December 10, 2019, opened Pandora’s Box, releasing impeachment and a host of other evils on America. They did so because they’re filled with contempt for the president and anyone who voted for him.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), flanked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), demonstrated the Democrats’ hatred for President Trump and his supporters by bringing two articles of impeachment.

Nadler said, “In service to our duty to the Constitution and to our country, the House Committee on the Judiciary is introducing two articles of impeachment charging the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, with committing high crimes and misdemeanors. Our president holds the ultimate public trust. When he betrays that trust and puts himself before country, he endangers the Constitution.”

Nadler’s statement is a lie. President Trump has not committed any high crimes or misdemeanors. There has not been a crime found in the phone call with Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky. Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) aptly notes, “Zero witnesses identified a crime here. In fact, as the AP pointed out in a November 21 piece, zero witnesses personally attested the president conditioned aid on an announcement of investigations or actual investigations being conducted.”

The Democrats aren’t done, though, with just Nadler’s words. Schiff, dripping with pompous arrogance, declared, “To do nothing would be to make ourselves complicit. The president’s oath of office appears to mean very little to him, but the articles put forward today will give us a chance to show that we will defend the Constitution and that our oath means something to us.”

Schiff and the Democrats are not defending the Constitution. If they were, they’d never brought such false charges. If they were, they’d accepted the will of the people in the Electoral College victory Trump had in 2016. The Democrats care very little about the Constitution.  They only care about power, specifically their own. They hate that the American people voted for Donald Trump and they’ve been on a quest, along with the Deep State and the Media, to get rid of him.

Pelosi can assert that she doesn’t hate, but as Shakespeare wrote, “Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.” The truth is Pelosi and her Democrat henchmen are filled with contempt. They despise Trump and the America that elected him.

So, what happens next? The articles of impeachment are not unexpected. Ever since the Democrats took the House, impeachment was a foregone conclusion. What will happen now that it’s here? Let’s take a peek into the future and make some predictions.

The next few weeks will be a challenging time for the Democrat party. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) warned Democrats to “be careful what you wish for” and added that impeachment “is tearing the nation apart. And I want to bring people together.”

Van Drew will be in a tough spot as will several other Democrats elected in 2018 from Trump-supporting districts. Impeachment is dividing the country, mostly along party lines and in the swing states, voters are more likely to oppose it.

The articles of impeachment, when voted upon, will move to the Senate for a trial. This will lock up many of the leading Democrat candidates for president for six to eight weeks in early 2020. The Democrats will be under great pressure. Some will want to buck the party leaders and the cracks in the party’s foundation will be seen.

The Senate will get to oversee the trial and the shenanigans of Schiff and his cabal will be exposed. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has asserted that the U.S. Senate will hold an impeachment trial aimed at exposing the Ukrainian scandal and said that the Senate trial would be “fair” to the president unlike the impeachment probe in the House.

The president will be cleared of wrongdoing and the progressive wing of the Democrats will be outraged. They’ll bring their hate and venom to their own party’s primary. The Democrats will then be further divided, and a brokered convention is possible.  Meanwhile, the Republicans will enjoy more unity than has been in a long time.

Are these predictions correct? No one knows for sure. One thing is sure though. The Democrats, because of their contempt, have opened Pandora’s box and are responsible for all the evils that emerge.
